Etno kuca Petrovic

It was an amazing experience! wonderful! location is great, on the Sharr mountains, in the outskirts of a little town. The building is very traditional full of interesting objects and decorations. The lady working there is very kind and even if she doesn't speak English she was very welcoming and we could communicate with Google translate. She cooked for us a great dinner meal and dessert (5€ per person) with the best Sarma I've eaten in my whole trip. Same price for a huge breakfast: we couldn't finish it so she put it in a box we could bring along our trip.

The lady is very pleasant and happy to chat. Slept like a baby. Feels like in babushka's house. Breakfast was exceptional for 5 euros/person. The coffee isn't an expresso lol, but in overall very nice stay in between trip's road to sleep and go back to infance feeling. PS: to card payment

It felt like home. The host was very kind and welcoming. Walking distance to restaurants and the little town.

The host was amazing. She made us feel so welcome and made an amazing dinner (soup, pork steak, fries and a desert) and traditional breakfast (cabbage pite and pancakes). The beds were super comfortable and the location is quiet and traditional.

A few of the fixtures and fittings could do with a bit of maintenance but this is minor.

It was wonderful experience for me and my family, thank you for the hospitality of the Etno Kuca’s owner, Brezovica is so close by driving, so if you plan to go skiing you can stay Etno kuca also. Stay Etno kuca and feel like you are at home with hundreds years of history.

The weather

No parking available. Booked with free breakfast but we were charged for it Booked a double room with sofa but we were given one without sofa, instead 2 single beds that we had no use for them

The owner was very helpful organising someone to take me to Brezovica ski resort as there were no taxis available (€20 one way) and she was able to organise a taxi to Prizren too (€50) as there were no buses on Sunday or actual taxis. The plan was to stay for 3 nights but it was very tough to ski in Brezovica as I realised it's not for beginners and she was fine with me changing my stay for just 1 night. She only speaks Serbian but it was easy to communicate via Google translate. The breakfast was great and overall a very comfortable warm stay in the room with great hot water for showers. I can imagine it would be a great base to stay in if you are hiking during the summer as there's lots of nature around.

Nothing to complain about the room but it's frustrating to know that no buses run to Strpce from Prishtina. So it would be another €50 for a taxi from the capital. So if you are coming here come from Prizren via bus.
