Clean and perfectly located apartment with a very helpful and communicative host

Alfa was great. Not super central but still ok.

The check-in time is quite early. I am sure that if there was no booking after us they would have stretched the time. Maybe a good policy change would be a later check-in to allow for some flexibility. Anyway, they tried their best to help us. Parking as well can be quite problematic in the area. Breakfast is quite basic

We are happy with our stay. We had everything we needed. Thank you to the host. The coffee was good :)

The location is really good, very close to the train station and 15 minutes on foot from Bari centre

We were at Bari on Christmas eve and we did not know that restaurants all close at 6pm. We ended up in Bari centre with everywhere closed, nowhere to eat and not a soul in sight. It was like a ghost city Also, we did not find a good breakfast. We had to ask for some cereal and tea. Very poor breakfast unfortunately.

The host was extremely communicative throughout the process and met us upon arrival even though our train was delayed. Though close to the train station (bonus), the neighborhood was quiet. The apartment was spacious, airy, and extremely comfortable -- with more than the amenities we needed.

Breakfast is limited. Although there was milk, coffee and packaged croissants/toast. If you need more, there is a Relay store at the train station or bring your own (I always do). The kitchen facilities are great! We also found a great coffee shop nearby.

It was close to the train station and the place was very spacious. It was nice to have two separate bedrooms as well. The couch does fold flat if needed. As someone who's very sensitive to noise, it was very quiet so really liked this. Kitchen was large and had what we needed.

Maybe we were unlucky because it seems to be an anomaly in amongst the other positive reviews but communication with the host fell flat and wasn't great. I had to initiate the conversation with the host to understand what the check-in instructions were and communication was barely existent (I also worried that maybe the accommodation wasn't confirmed because I hadn't received any comms whatsoever). I also messaged my passport info via Whatsapp as requested by the person who met us on check-in but didn't receive a reply until the next day so was concerned that I had sent my passport details to the wrong number and ended up deleting it. It was in fact the right number but the lack of communication was concerning. The checkout info on booking.com also says it's 08:00-11:00 but after asking for an 11am checkout, we were told that the latest time is 10:00. Not an issue but would be good to update the listing. Note that it says breakfast is provided - it is a large bag of croissants wrapped in plastic from the supermarket. Technically correct in that breakfast is provided but just know that this is what to expect :) There were some weird bits of chocolate/food or something left on the dining table centrepiece too??? It's a shame as it seems like a great place from the other reviews and everything else other than the above were fine so maybe this is a one-off.
