The Staff is the biggest upside: very helpful an giving their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast and the food in general was good/ok and not as bad as many other ratings mentioned it. The palm tree garden is very nice and maintained. The reception area, restaurant and commen areas in general are beautifully designed.

The room: We booked a standard double room an got a complete different two floor bouble bed + twin bed room. The room was in an adjecant building, not even slightly soundproof next to the street (so no sleep starting with traffic at 5am). There where Pidgeons nesting on the roof an balcony, covering everything with feces which made the balcony useless. The bathroom is I the downstairs floor with souterrain like windows, no ventilation and only 2m ceiling. I'm pretty sure that there are also better rooms, but for a room rate of 250$, this was very underwhelmig... The common facilities: The Pool clean machine seems not working cause the added chlorine manually every day and the water was looking welcoming. In our case: not worth the money and a quite disappointing stay

We are very happy that we chose this hotel! Almost everything was perfect for us. The service staff were outstanding and truly exceeded expectations. First of all, we would like to mention the manager, Sulo, who was very attentive and a true high-class professional who create such a great and profesional team. We would also like to highlight the assistant manager, Manjula, who was always accommodating, helped with every question that arose, and resolved everything in a very professional manner. We would especially like to mention the Chef, who prepared fantastic private meals for us. It is always worth trusting the Chef’s taste — all we had to do was enjoy the food. We truly loved the hotel’s unique and relaxing atmosphere. The massage specialists were excellent, and we made good use of their services. Even the young beach lifeguard was very attentive and helpful. We will definitely return again!

The ocean was quite rough, and swimming directly in front of the hotel was often not possible. However, there was a beautiful lagoon just 150 meters away, where we could relax and swim on days with larger waves.

Hotel położony bezpośrednio przy plaży. Plaża czysta, spokojna, co jest niewątpliwie atutem hotelu. Personel bardzo uprzejmy i pomocny z jednym wyjątkiem, o którym wspomnę w drugiej części. Smaczne śniadania w formie bufetu. Hotel otoczony zadbanym ogrodem (pięknie oświetlonym) ze sporym i czystym basenem. Leżaki w cieniu palm i widokiem na ocean zawsze dostępne.

Przestrzegam przed nieuczciwymi praktykami stosowanymi przez hotel Rockwall - sprzedają pokoje 3* za cenę 5* Pierwszą dobę z 4 dniowego pobytu byliśmy zmuszeni spędzić w pokoju, który nie odpowiadał opisowi rezerwacji (nie ma go też w ofercie hotelu). Otóż pokój nr 304 jest o połowę mniejszy niż ten z opisu (30m2 zamiast 52m2), z łazienką, w której woda spod niezabezpieczonego niczym prysznica (tylko bateria ścienna) rozlewa się bez przeszkód po całej podłodze sprawiając, że korzystanie z toalety przypomina standardy WC basenowego i brodzi się po prostu w wodzie. Jedynym miejscem, gdzie można postawić kosmetyczkę jest podłoga, ponieważ w łazience nie ma ani szafki ani półki. I wreszcie rzecz zdecydowanie najgorsza: okna rzeczonego pokoju (inaczej niż w przypadku prawdziwych pokoi Deluxe) wychodzą nie tylko na ocean, ale i na główną drogę z Galle do Kolombo. Klaksony przez całą noc i niemiłosierny hałas nie pozwalają zmrużyć oka. Owszem, po naszej interwencji następnego dnia o godz. 14 otrzymaliśmy należny nam pokój, jednak nie usłyszeliśmy od Managera (Mr. Manjula Prasad) ani słowa tytułem przeprosin. Przeciwnie, zapewniał, że nic się nie stało, bo pokoje są różne i ten nasz był rzekomo "nowy". 200$ za koszmarną, nieprzespaną noc bez słowa przepraszam to NIE jest standard 5* hotelu, a zwyczajnie BRAK profesjonalizmu. Na dodatek Pan M. Prasad traktował nas do końca pobytu jak zło konieczne bez choćby "dzień dobry" na powitanie. Nie polecam też hotelowej restauracji gdy ma się ochotę na kolację - doznanie dość rozczarowujące- ograniczony wybór i przeciętna jakość potraw. Ps. Podobnych pokoi pewnie jest więcej (foto). Booking uznał naszą skargę za zasadną, hotel niestety nie :(

Location is great, you can see and hear the ocean waves. Staff is friendly, when I faced issues I was offered a better room. Laundry is very fast. Many nice restaurants in 5-10 min tuktuk distance.

Breakfast is very simple and you can feel money saved on it. Hot water sometimes takes up to 15 minutes to start, especially if you wake up very early like 6 AM, but it does not really depend on the hotel itself as they say it’s an external problem with water supply in the area.

The staff was very friendly and polite. Especially Prasad who was attending us. He attended us is a very warm and courteous. The service they provide is amazing. The location of the resort is perfect and the view is outstanding. Food was delicious too.

There is nothing we didn’t like.
