Hostel Uz Guest House

A very nice couple, very responsible. It's the best hotel I've stayed at during my two-month trip, without a doubt.

showers are clean. the rooms have air conditioning and heating. there is also a hanger. there is a courtyard where you can sit and talk with other tourists. there is also a kitchen where you can cook food. the location is convenient as all the sights are within walking distance.

I booked a place in the hostel late at night. The owners met me at 1am. Which was very nice. The check out was also early, for which I was offered coffee early in the morning, which was even nicer. What can I say. The fact that this hostel has a high rating is well deserved. The owners are a couple of great bosses and also great parents. I saw pictures of their daughters, since they were already asleep, I did not get to see them in person. 2 beautiful cats, which was also amazing. This is a great place, where you will not be deceived and where you are safe. I advise everyone to stay here, it is really cool. The hostel is not big, 2 rooms for 12 people, separately for men and women, which is great. Also 2 showers. Huge cozy kitchen. And the yard is very nice. I will definitely stay with you when I come. You are really cool guys, thank you for everything, respect 🫡

Our stay was so comfortable and welcoming that it truly felt like a **home away from home**! From the warm hospitality to the cozy atmosphere, every detail made the trip unforgettable. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering personalized suggestions on the best places to visit and must-try local eateries—we ended up at some amazing spots , wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. Also, the location was very convenient to walk to most of the main attractions in samarkand. The cleanliness was top-notch, with spotless rooms and common areas that made us feel at ease. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, great company, and local insights. Can’t wait to return! **Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)**

easily the best thing about this hostel is the people you will meet here. the family who owns the hostel is very kind and I spent a good amount of time talking with the wife. She makes delicious manty as well 😁 Lots of international travelers stay here and it was SO nice to chat and go out with others. the cats are friendly and super sweet! the courtyard stays pretty comfortable despite the summer heat and is a nice place to chill. there is a washing machine, but no dryer. I can't remember the cost of doing laundry. as you can see in the photos, they have a large bookshelf and I was able to exchange a book I had finished for one that was already there. they have a communal water dispenser, which was very much appreciated. the location of the hostel is incredible!

the beds are the traditional Uzbek type, which aren't my favorite, but I managed fine enough for the week. my only real complaint (and I feel terrible for saying this) is that the husband of the owner couple smokes inside and it made spending much time at all inside the main part of the house really difficult for me. I didn't cook or leave anything in the lockers because of that when I otherwise would have.
