Hotel Sylvia

I knew that ambiance elevates a hotel experience, but this was amazing. Our room absorbed me completely, much like a good novel. I was thrilled to stay here. The decor items, the selection of books in the rooms were were to the point. I fell in love with the wall paper! :) The location is amazing; by the beach, walking distance to the center and restaurants, not far from the main road.

Rooms had no amenities, no TV, no fridge, no microwave. Just some things you would expect for the price of the rooms?

The lighting in the room for reading is a bit weak. However, I appreciate all the little common areas to get comfortable with a book. The little patio for my room is right at the entrance, so because there is no privacy, I didn't get any use from it. I did use the outdoor deck area aon the ocean side which was lovely

The location was wonderful. The decor was beautiful and everything was very clean. Lovely concpt!

If there is no AC, there should at least be ceiling fans and screens. A mini-fridge in the rooms would have been great. It's thoughtful of you to have coffee and water in the lobby, but tea would be nice also. The shower was great, but for those bringing their own shampoo and such, a little shelf would be helpful. A complimentary continental breakfast is always appreciated.

Unique place for total battery recharging.

It is quiet and every room is based on books.

They need to have fans in every room for air flow. It was really humid and hot, made it very uncomfortable.
