TESHI SAFARI VILLA

I booked this resort at the last minute due to my busy schedule. I wasn’t expecting much, but when I arrived at the property, I was pleasantly surprised – the entire area was large and well-kept, the amenities were up to par, and the atmosphere was serene. There is a man-made bird sanctuary in the middle of the property, where thousands of trees have been deliberately planted and various species of birds have decided to stay in the area. The sounds of the birds add to the amazingly unique nature of the place. The room I stayed in was unusually spacious – I had a king-sized bed, a sofa, a closet, and a larger-than-average bathroom. The bedding and towels were all clean and fresh. It also had an efficient AC, a ceiling fan, and a large TV. In addition to being very clean, the room also had high ceilings, which reinforced the airy and comfortable feeling a guest has in the room. I couldn’t have asked for more. The next day, the staff prepared my breakfast so I could enjoy it on the safari. The safari jeep I got was very new and very comfortable. The guide I got was the cousin of the owner of the resort. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and the different areas of the national park, he had very sharp eyes, he could spot animals from a mile away. Thanks to him, I was able to see a lot of animals up close, especially elephants!

I had a very peaceful stay here. The place is very quiet, surrounded by nature. It was amazing to wake up to the birds singing and a beautiful green view. The staff is really friendly, making sure you have everything you need. The food is fresh and delicious. It is a perfect place to relax. You get plenty of privacy, which is great. They can also arrange a safari trip if you are interested.

This place was amazing. - Great location. Tucked away in a quiet street, but can walk 15 mins to RET junction where you can find shops and restaurants. The elephant orphanage is about 25 min walk, or the host can take you by their own tuktuk for a reasonable fee. It is also nice and quiet at night, bar a few barking dogs in the area! - Lovely host. She runs it with her family and they are the nicest and most helpful people. They helped organise our safari tour. Her daughter and mine are the same age so was very cute to see them both playing together - The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The AC works well and the shower has good pressure and hot water - You can also have lunch here for 3000LKR per person. It's served like a banquet and so delicious Overall, a very comfortable stay and I highly recommend staying here.

Service was amazing we got dinner cooked for us as well as a tuk tuk to go anywhere anytime, lots of local knowledge and beautiful location

Our stay was absolutely authentic. Far from the usual touristy GuestHouses, here we lived with the locals. Chintha and Suranga introduced us to their world and culture, and did everything they could to make our stay exceptional. I recommend this place and this wonderful family to anyone who wants to experience Sri Lanka in all its authenticity.
