Villa Tao Seminyak

The location was great, we know it well and chose to stay at this location. The villa itself is great, needs a little updating but nothing that would need a lot of work. Agung who looks after the property is lovely and he communcation was great. He is a great asset to what could be a really great villa. The villa and facilites has a lot of potential to be booked out, if some changes were made.

Unfortunately, there were quite a few negatives for our 10 day stay. The first one being that the hot water system is not enough for 1 shower let alone 2. One of us had to have a cold shower every day and the other person had some hot water but not enough if you were washing your hair, so ending with a cold shower. However the pressure was great. The linen was sub standard both the towels and bedlinen. The towels were so threadbare they barely dried you off. They were washed once duuring our stay and then the same towels had to be dried before we could use them again. So I am assuming that there were only 2 sets, 1 for each bathroom. The bath mats were not changed. The bedlinen was changed once during our stay and the pillows were so bad, they were almost like they were filled with cotton wool. . However the bed was very comfortable. The pool towels were also very old and I actually washed them myself as they were not changed. The bathroom cupboards were not able to be used as they had padlocks on them, so all tolietries had to be on the bench, not a deal breaker but it meant that the benches were not cleaned, which I understand as all our things were on the bench. There are also cats on the premises, we were told about 1, but there is 2 that are always there and another 2 that come and go.

Hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. They kept the property in amazing condition. Great location across, very quiet at night time but yet very close to lots of bars and restaurants and supermarket is just across the road.

Everything was amazing about the property. Proximity to shops and restaurants was great. I can’t praise the staff who went out of their way when something unfortunate happened to my daughter at the villa. Agung and Louis went out of their way to support my family and ensured that we were okay. Agung made constant and consistent check ins DAILY and ensured the villa was clean and we had everything we needed. Couldn’t have been happier

Sadly the cat on the property scratched my 11 year daughter which cost us a bit over $250 to get a doctor and have her vaccinated for rabies. Agung and Louis genuinely did their best to resolve the issue and I couldn’t thank them enough. Unfortunately the owners of the villa were not as forthcoming and I’ll be honest in my review that if you have kids be mindful about the cat. They said he’s friendly but I guess not and we paid painfully for it

Louis was there to meet us, although our flight was late. Agung looked after us extremely well. He was always there if we needed him and kept the gardens and pool beautiful. Pool very clean and inviting, perfect temperature day and night. Pool table was great fun. The entire Villa is very comfortable and with other villas so felt very safe.

The shower in one of the bedrooms doesn’t work the best, but manageable and not a big problem.
