Luxury woodland Alder Lodge

Had everything you needed and pet friendly.

It was a great location, quiet and well maintained. We lacked nothing. The lodge was well equipped.

It was all very good. I have no negative comments

The cabin was exceptional. Loved everything about it. So much space and everything within the cabin was excellent. The setting was amazing

Only thing I wld say is the 3 seater sofa was a tad collapsed in the middle and made sitting on it uncomfortable but apart from that everything was good

We found Alder Lodge perfect, in terms of design, facilities provided, clear instructions, and location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful cabin. Very private and well fitted out. Very comfy and cosy.

Too many laminated messages with rules and regulations posted all around the cabin. Staff were a bit hostile and didn’t make us feel welcome. Felt like we were intruding.

being charged extra for electricity on a daily basis (price of which wasn't clarified in advance)when already paying a premium compared to local prices - elec meter also makes a very loud noise (seems esp loud at night when all else is quiet). Cost for dog stays also not confirmed in advance, only just prior to actually visiting. Bag of iIce left in freezer from a previous guest, who knows whose hands have been in there! Fireplace not cleaned out from previous occupant. Also slightly miffed at providing my own towel. All above in the context of it being sold as a "Luxury" Lodge.

Beautiful, well equipped lodge. Beautiful location with good walking. Warden was really good.

Only negative was that on top of rental cost there was a subsidy for gas and electric. Also on booking there was no mention of the exact cost for dogs. I emailed on booking but had no response. You find out when you get there is it is £30/40 per dog per stay.
