Agriturismo Casa del Chiodo

I was hesitant to book at this agriturismo because I didn’t know the area so many interesting facilities so I relied on the excellent food and wine reviews. I am wonderfully surprised by Paola’s cooking, I have probably never eaten so well in Italy before. In my opinion this is a place for those who want to unplug and for those who love to experience nature. The structure is a museum, everything is authentic and centuries-old. I have to personally thank Marco and Paola for making me enjoy thi experience to the fullest and for the warm hospitality. I suggest Booking directly because they offer great discounts. It is impossible to stay in this place without eating. I will return in two months to stay a week, I fell in love. Thank you!

A charming place to stay with two standout features: a remarkable homemade dinner and an incredibly peaceful location, relatively near to Abbazia San Galgano. The six-course meal is exceptional, prepared entirely in-house using farm-fresh ingredients. They use goat's milk for cheese and serve prosciutto from their own pigs. Important details about the dinner: - Dinner is not included in the booking - Write ahead to reserve - Bring cash (around 40-50 euros per person) - Arrive with a good appetite Nestled in a tiny town with only locals and the occasional Italian tourist, this spot offers true tranquility. The nearest town with restaurants is just 5-8 minutes by car. It's perfectly situated for visiting Abbazia San Galgano—less than 30 minutes away, allowing you to beat the crowds from Siena.

Despite being an easy sleeper, I struggled with the bed. The bedding was less than ideal: - Sheets were rough to the touch - Pillows were thin and hard - Overall, the bed was uncomfortable This might be a concern for those sensitive to sleeping conditions. Note that the location is fairly out of the way from many of the popular towns. This was exactly what I wanted on this part of the trip but it won’t be ideal for many people. My partner didn’t enjoy the drive as much as I did but she was so pleased when we were the first ones at Abbazia San Galgano and we got the place to ourselves.

Struttura storica che profuma di cultura e bellezza. Ottimo restauro, sicuramente un posto non comune. Rapporto qualità- prezzo eccellente. Cibo da sogno. Tornerò sicuramente! 10 e lode

Ottimo!!. Location ben curata e accogliente. Consigliamo altamente di cenare in agriturismo: antipasto, primo, secondo e dolce tipici e interamente fatti in casa da leccarsi i baffi ! Torneremo sicuramente!!

La comida y la anfitriona, el único pero es que no hay tv en las habitaciones y allí no hay nada que hacer ni que ver a partir de las 09:00 pm

Mi e' piaciuto tutto tantissimo. Cena stellare, posto autentico, ristrutturazione eccellente, relax totale e accoglienza ottima. Il fatto che certi servizi non siano cosi' all'avanguardia (mi riferisco alle solite connessioni digitali) credo che a loro nel tempo crei una selezione di clientela che potra' solo farli crescere. Un posto senza finzione. Bravi!
