Downtown Residence by Stlcz

Modern apartment, lovely rooms and great showers. Our host left us to do our own thing, but made sure we knew he was available if we needed any help. All kitchen facilities were in good order and we were close to the local supermarkets, restaurants and bars. All in all we were very happy with our home from home 😁

The property was very clean and comfortable for 7 people as we were, there are a lot of things you need for a staying almost everything , we felt like home 10/10

Good sized bedrooms, bedding was clean and comfortable for two nights. WiFi is very good and AC units are a blessing in the very hot weather! The kitchen is well equipped. Responsive contact when we had issues and a bottle of wine as an apology.

The street is not very nice, had a bit of a sinking feeling when we arrived but once you're through into the courtyard we were relieved as it is quite rustic and pretty. Although there was a mountain of black bags outside our apartment. The apartment itself is nice and well equipped. There were several issues with the maintenance of the apartment. I assume it is usually booked a lot so maybe the place isn't being looked after as well as it could be. The shower flooded into the living area so someone came and put drain unblocker and boiling water down. This helped briefly but you really need to be in and out quickly or it will happen again. The images of the living space are a little deceiving, it's quite small and the sofa is hard and uncomfortable. Lots of small issues such as broken latches on some doors so they won't close. There is exposed wiring from a plug socket, one doorframe fell off, missing remote controls upstairs, the bathrooms smell damp (assume from drains not working efficiently?) broken freezer drawer, and lots of marks etc all over the walls. Obviously these minor issues did not affect our stay but I made the owner aware as not to look as though we had caused any damage. Would stay closer to main areas if we visited Budapest again as the area seems quite run down compared to other areas we visited. Good value for money though if you're on a budget.

The apartment looks better in the photos than in reality. It is located on the ground floor, dark, with a view of a neglected courtyard, which gives an overall impression of living in a basement. As someone previously mentioned, the blinds in the rooms are broken, so the windows have to be covered with blankets. One of the bathroom doors has swollen from moisture, making it impossible to close. The security gate for the front door doesn’t lock - the lock is broken. The walls were dirty and need refreshing. Additionally, there were several other issues, such as broken toilet paper holders, etc.

It's really good value for money. Very helpful and responsive host, well equipped apartment. We had a very good time with my family there. Recommended!

I would recommend adding a foldable table and adding some soft pads to low ceiling spots. But it is minor things.
