The road in, but the weather was bad

Amazing little spot - wish we spent more time there

Would have loved a reverse osmosis water filter in the kitchen for drinking water

The attention to detail was awesome. A beautiful home with great little touches. Peaceful and relaxing. It was the first time we just wanted to sit and relax and enjoy the place rather than meandering in the area. It really is a well thought out, well equipped place

Bring drinking water as bore hole may not be to your taste

It is very peaceful and very homely. The bed in the main en-suite bedroom is very comfortable.

When there is load shedding the battery that is provided only lasted 20 mins then you have no power and no WATER as the pump doesn’t work for however long the load shedding is which when we were there it was 4 and half hour sessions. So became a pain as you can’t do anything like shower, ablutions etc. Had to fetch water down by the pump in buckets.

beautiful scenery, good host interaction when needed. Facilities where top class and the private base dam was well used.

Permanent under cover braai facilities would have been nice, but this is nit picking as there is a portable braai on site.

The road was very scary, very dark at night to travel, but the worst was the mud where we got stuck.

The location by the lake is so peaceful. The big veranda with comfy couches meant that we could sit outside until late, even when it was raining. We enjoyed watching the birds on the lake. Hum Lilly is also conveniently located close to many Midlands Meander restaurants. Next time we'll bring the dog with!
