"It was a fun day, but an unbearably cold 2 nights."

5.0

The location was beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. And this was indeed a glamping ground , one with heated bathrooms and a sauna.

The tents were COLD COLD COLD. If North Shore plans to run a glamping sight into the fall and winter in Minnesota, they need to invest in better heaters, ones that actually circulate heat. They will also have to invest in one large heater for each tent or at least two to three of the current size for each tent. And they will need generators that don't quit in the middle of the night when no one is available to replace them and get the heat running again. Unless the plan of North Shore is for guests to perish from hypothermia or leave with pneumonia.

"We loved this unique experience and will absolutely come again for a little romantic getaway!"

Gorgeous tent, loved the saunas and near hiking.

Got a tad cold at night but we bundled up in blankets and we were so cozy.

"Beautiful place, great experience, highly recommended"

10.0

The tents were absolutely lovely. I fell in love with the mattress!!!! Best sleep ever. We also enjoyed the gas stove in the room so that the temperature was nice and cozy during the night. We also loved the dog friendly attitude and the great treats and toys that could be purchased at the main building. Our dogs loved walking around the property with us and there are a ton of nearby trails to be enjoyed, including having a nice swim at Lake Superior. The showers were clean and fully equipped with everything needed. The Sauna barrels were fantastic. We most certainly are looking forward to another visit in not too long. The thought that went into every single object and detail both in the cabin and in the main building is apparent. A fantastic glamping experience and we hope to be visiting again soon!

The jackery was a great addition so that someone could recharge a cell phone. It did not have enough power for charging a phone and running the gas stove but maybe we did not know how to best use it. It might be helpful for staff to escort guests to their cabin after check in and show them all the great amenities (including all the amazing cook ware at the bear box) but also let people know that they might need to purchase a gas cylinder if they needed to use the grill (they were available for purchase at the main building but you had to do so before the office closes).
