The location was excellent, peaceful and with a great view. The standard and quality exceeded what we expected, because often the photographs of a place no longer resemble what it has become. The hiking trail, farm atmosphere, freedom of movement all added up to making it an obvious venue to recommend to others and for us to take our grandsons on holiday. An added bonus was Groeneweide hosting the Groeneweide parkrun and being able to enjoy refreshments in the restaurant afterwards. Having lights, WiFi and a gas stove - to boil water - made even 4 hour loadshedding nothing more than a period on the blackout roster. We never blacked out.

The bed was a bit narrow.

We loved the farm-stay and it was still close enough to get to the beach in two minutes. The farm has a beautiful 5km hiking trail which we loved. The house is very spacious and has beautiful views. We also loved the grass around the house. They also have a back-up system for the house during loadshedding which was very nice. There was enough fire wood which we have appreciated! We will definitely book again!. We like the fact that there's no TV although some people might disagree..There is also a nice restaurant on the farm with a petting zoo and lots to do for kids.

There were some kitchen utensils required. A washing line outside would also be great especially for all the wet beach towels and one of the bathroom doors could not close properly. But with that being said, we still had an awesome stay!

The location, with the sea in front and mountains at the back, plus the farm like setting, added to a most relaxing holiday. The cottage is private and very well equipped with amazing views. Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Mathilda is an excellent hostess and very knowledgeable about the area. A place worth visiting again.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the serenity of the farm and can't wait to go back and stay a bit longer to explore!
