Haret Nizwa hostel

The owner was very nice and helpful. The location is right in the center, walking distance to the souq and a lot of restaurants and street food. Very nice budget place to stay.

The room wasn't super clean and the shower was on top of the toilet. The water heater was in the room next door which we didn't know from the beginning. So very cold shower. But the host was super helpful and fixed it when we asked.

The staff were very accommodating and flexible and kind! Everything worked that we needed it to, comfortable, near to everything, parking space. Lovely outdoor area.

The owner of this hostel is very polite and nice , the place is simple and very close to the old market ..I like that there is an outside courtyard and small garden ..perfect place to enjoy cup of tea in the early morning

The place is nice and simple ..but I would be great if they take care of the small details such as offering shampoo , bottles of water...etc

Proximity to fort and souq

This property is deficient in many ways. Booking.com is clearly failing to check and control the quality of its properties, the 2nd time for me 6 months. I had to leave after the first of two days, found much better lodging in Nizwa. -- No work table / chair despite good space on one wall with electrical outlets already there. -- Hot water boiler but no cups or glasses -- Bed mattresses are covered with plastic, very uncomfortable. I took a comforter from a 2nd bed -- No waste basket -- No remote control for air conditioner -- Bad arrival experience. Google maps shows several streets which are pedestrian only, fails to show driving access -- Old neighborhood has narrow walking streets with weak or no lighting, men loitering On my first of two mornings, there was no hot water. Management promised to fix but it took a half hour. I respectfully requested a partial refund for (a) partial inadequate service first night (no water) and (b) cancellation of 2nd night. Management refused even a modest refund.
