Green Villas Douro

The location was great for me, because it was close to the venue where my friend was getting married. But if someone wanted to stay in central Porto, I would suggest a different location. It's a little far from the city center, which I didn't mind because it was quiet and peaceful! Getting to central Porto was usually never more than a 10 minute Uber ride, which was fine with me! There are some places in walking distance, but I recommend caution since there aren't sidewalks in this area. It was also very nice to be in an area without tourists.

Part of the shower broke on its first use, but Ana was very responsive and willing to come right away to have it fixed. She is a great host! The only other complaints I have are small ones. One, there seemed to be a couple of holes in the bathroom wall that were cheaply covered up by some thin-postered wall art. As a single female traveler, I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable at this just because of the horror stories I've heard. I'm sure it's fine, but I would recommend the host fix these before other people notice. Also, my room had a second door that opened up directly to the street. I wasn't expecting this, and it also made me a little uncomfortable again because I'm a young female traveling alone. If you're in a similar situation, I would recommend not staying in Unit 1.

Odeur d' égout dans le logement surtout le soir et la nuit. Manque une petite table et 2 chaises dans le jardin pour pouvoir profiter d' un petit déjeuner ou d' un apéritif au soleil. 20 min de marche pour aller à la station de bus .

It is a small appartment with an equipped kitchen, fridge, microwave, ustensils. There is free outdoor parking and a little terrace. It is not far from Porro, like a 5-6€ uber drive away, in a suburb. However there are no shops or restaurants around, you need a car to be comfortable. A good base to explore the north region and sites around Porto. Note that while it is a small "villa", it faces a busy road.
