Bun Kao Guesthouse

Very friendly staff including the owner. Good location, close to local stores, fruit and vegetable markets and restaurants. Good value for money.

Loved the balcony - comfortable chairs, and so much vegetation. Staff were very good, very polite and very thorough. Good location - quiet street with a friendly, relaxed shop next door that sold everything you could need. Easy walk down to the river.

The room and bed are spacious.

The room was very dirty! There were dust, hair and insects everywhere, and USED CONDOM on the floor (please take a look at the picture uploaded). I dropped my clothes for laundry at 8am, when I came back at 8:30om to pick them up almost all my clothes were totally wet! It was a big problem as I needed to prepare my luggage to travel early next morning. They don’t have dryer. It was a nightmare! But the worst thing is that the young ladies who were in reception just behaved like “I don’t care and don’t bother me”. Frustrating.

North facing rooms are cooler. Comfy beds.

TV didn't work.

• I know the family that runs Bun Kao Guest House and have stayed there several times over the past 20 years. Wonderful, most helpful people! • It's listed on Google Maps and so is easy to take a tuk-tuk there. • There was a table and chair to use with my laptop.

There were some little ants running around. Not much of a problem but I was afraid they would nest in my laptop.

The owner and his family are super helpful and made our time in Siem Reap really memorable. The rooms are spacious, with good comfy beds, there’s hot water in the shower. We hired bikes to get around the city and spent a lot of time sitting in the grand balcony watching the world go by.

My bathroom can do with a makeover, it looks quite dated and needs some love.

I liked the big bed.

There were hairs everywhere (bed, bathroom), bad smell in the bathroom and no AC (despite it was written in the room decsription), they wanted me to update the room.
