Boudha Apart Hotel

I loved the hosts and their hospitality, the food they cooked as well as the availability of food and drink at the hotel (they had cooks on site all day!), my room was perfect for my needs and the value was beyond expectations, the location was great (I was studying in Boudha and it was very close to the learning facilities), and it was overall a great place for me to stay for almost 3 weeks. I highly recommend this hotel to travelers, and think it’s a wonderful place to stay if you’re traveling alone because Pema and Michael really make the hotel feel like home and have developed a great sense of community there.

The hotel is in a very nice area close to Bouddhanath stupa. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable with a good, hard mattress. From the roof there is a spectacular view, they even have a yoga room. The best were the owners and the staff, which were very kind and friendly and made me feel home. I highly recommend to stay here. I will come back here soon.

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, welcoming place to stay in Bouddha, come to Boudha Apart Hotel! Located in a safe and quiet neighborhood close to the airport, this hotel is perfect for a quick trip or a long stay. As a residential area, there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and fun things to do nearby without the noise and inflated prices you’d find in Thamel. The rooms really do look exactly like the promotional pictures – clean, bright, and spacious, with a weekly room cleaning included. For an extra fee, I took advantage of air-conditioning (very rare in Nepal) in the summer and space heaters in the winter. The Wi-Fi was reliable, especially in the restaurant where there is plenty of seating for working/studying and on the gorgeous roof which has stunning sunset views and a sun room with yoga mats and free weights available for use. I also used their laundry service, which cost about 3 USD per kg of clothes which were returned within 48 hours, fresh and folded. Although there was free use of the clean, basic communal kitchens on each floor, I didn’t need to cook for myself because the attached restaurant was affordable, convenient, healthy, and DELICIOUS. I ate there almost every day, and the meals were simply added to my tab to simplify payment, for which they do take credit card (with a 3% bank fee) and/or cash. As Nepal is a cash-based economy, you can “withdraw” NPR from the hotel and add that to your bill as well with no fees. Overall, my stay was incredibly convenient and affordable, especially for the quality of service. The owners and cleaning/kitchen/desk/security staff at Boudha Apart Hotel are truly some of the kindest and most welcoming people I have ever met. Since they’re a small family-owned business, you can help them out by booking via email, which is just their name (Boudha Apart Hotel) with no spaces at G mail! I can’t wait to come back and visit them the next time I stay at Boudha Apart Hotel!

I wish I could have stayed here longer!

This is the best place I have ever stayed in Kathmandu! The building is beautiful and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Pema and Michal (the owners) are so welcoming and attentive to every detail. All of the staff who work here are so kind and helpful too. I will definitely be staying here on all future visits to Kathmandu!

Boudha Apart Hotel is in a great area with shops and all you need for your stay. It is also very close to Buddha Stupa and many nice restaurants like Organic Kitchen which is a very nice vegetarian restaurant. Food in the hotel is very good as well. The place is very clean and well equiped. Pema and Maikal are very kind and helpful, as well as everyone in the hotel. Nepalese people are in general very welcoming and smiley so you feel like at home. I enjoyed my stay so much and I will definitely come back to Boudha Apart Hotel anytime I am in Kathmandu.

Breakfast was really good, providing fresh fruit, eggs, bread, jam and butter. Bed quality, exceptional, really good mattress and bedlinen.

A bit farther away from Boudhnath Stupa than I thought. 13 minutes walk.

The rooms are super clean and nice. The bed is soft and very comfortable. The owners are really friendly and make you feel like being at home. Downstairs we have the restaurant, with excellent breakfast options and other very good food for a reasonable price. The place is quiet and tranquil. It’s a very good option for those who also want to work, study or meditate while being in Nepal. It takes a moment to reach Boudha stupa. 100x100 recommended to everyone! Definitely it’s one of the best guest houses around Boudha.
