We live in the village, it was our daughters prom and it was such a busy day, they was accommodating with us coming in early, dinner no problem and breakfast on the hottest day ever still spot on x

Very clean room. Lovely shower room (non-slip) and toiletries. Ample parking. Ceiling fan welcome in hot weather. Rooms on ground floor in separate annexe to main pub/restaurant. Excellent breakfast cooked to order.

It’s in Great Bromley not Colchester Bed mattress worn out , can feel the springs- needs replacing ( room 8 ) Outer door warped letting draught in - see pic

Nice hotel in beautiful old building, althought the rooms were in an annex. Great for a night while travelling in the UK. Staff was very friendly and welcoming! Although we were too late for dinner (due to delay of the ferry), we could get something to eat.

Breakfast Freshly prepared to order, local produce. Excellent restaurant. Convenience of rooms motel style access.

Limited pub space inside but good outside if weather ok.

Everything you would expect from budget accommodation (in a good way). All the basics were there, everything worked, it was clean and the staff were friendly.

Lighting was harsh. Warmer LED lamps would have made the room more inviting when the sun was down.
