The quiet central flat

Clean and functional

Described as parking on site. This is actually on road parking with a permit from the owner (council permit) that we were requested to amend the date with an erasure. All parking in the vicinity appears to be permit only. There was a constant low level hum in the apartment which we think was coming from a large paddling pool at the rear of the property. Probably a water pump. We were relieved our relatives were unable to come with us as I think the noise would have been unbearable in the back bedroom. The pillows in the double bedroom need a refresh (and possibly the mattress). Very squeaky bed! The garden view is eye level grass with 5 dustbins. The flat is lovely, clean and functional. Probably just needs to be described a little more honestly. I will email the owner about our issues.

Lovely spacious apartment, lots of facilities, clean and tidy. Everything we needed. Oh and great shower! And the washing machine is a bonus too. Shops just over the road for emergencies. Really easy for getting around Portsmouth.

No dedicated parking could be an issue if, like me, you came in a van! Sofas might be an issue if you are for people as they are very hard and difficult to keep comfy on. Otherwise brilliant.

So close to the train station and centrally located to shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. We were able to walk to The Box, the lighthouse, and to some cute shops in the area. The flat was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed making breakfast every morning and being able to cook dinner at night. It saved us a lot of money. We absolutely enjoyed our stay.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.

The mattresses were really uncomfortable but the flat was great.
