Olea Villas Resort

One of the best stays I have ever day. The location was perfect, most amazing view, the villa was immaculate. So trendy and had everything we would have needed. Linda on the reception was super helpful and super kind. The security were also very friendly and helped us with all of our luggage. We ordered breakfast and it was very yummy with a great selection, as well as a compliment afternoon tea every afternoon. 10/10 would stay again!!

Beautiful modern place to stay. The villa style and layout is a pleasure to behold, the private pool & sunbeds added extra utility to the already balanced living space. The bedroom was very comfortable with tv available. The shower room was one of my favorites, with great water pressure & temperatures. The view from the large bedroom windows were also nice. This is definitely a higher end place to stay yet still affordable. There was a small problem with the safety box but nothing that wasn’t fixed by the property team. A free gym access was also provided, although we didn’t attend, it looked very good. The breakfast was to a very good level, as was the laundry service. The villa staff were exceptional, polite, attentive and very kind, they appealed to all our needs and were timely. I would definitely recommend and also stay again

Amazing Villa, almost perfectly clean, very comfortable, good location, great mountain view as well as the friendly monkeys visiting us stealing our fruits. We love monkeys, so they made us happy.

Point 1: After a 7-hour flight delay, we arrived late at around 9 PM in the evening and wanted something to eat. The hotel suggested renting a scooter to reach nearby restaurants. What we didn't know was that the scooter was owned by the hotel, and we were asked to pay the full day's rent of 150k for one hour. This was disappointing as it wasn't a nice gesture to welcome new guests. Also, they didn't mention that there were two restaurants within walking distance. Point 2: On day one, we asked if we could extend our stay in "the same villa", mentioning our desired check-out date. The answer was "yes." We wanted to confirm in the evening to check if other guests' reviews about construction noise were still relevant. While there were some minimal noises, they didn't bother us. Therefore we confirmed our request to extend our stay. After receiving an "okay" from the hotel via WhatsApp, we got a call informing us that the hotel was not available until our desired date, but an additional two nights were possible. Two days later, on the morning of our last night, at 8 AM, we received a WhatsApp message saying: "Please be informed that you will be moving to another villa today, pack your things, our staff will assist you." We were shocked and didn't understand what was going on as it was my birthday, and the hotel knew this. An absolute no-go! It was explained that there was already a booking before we extended our stay. However, no information to us at the time we confirmed to extend, which was two days before. Fortunately, we had everything in writing, but somehow the blame was shifted to us, which was additionally disappointing. Also at check-out we were told sorry by the responsible but at the same time he commented that he made it possible for us to stay in the same villa. This was absolutely irritating as it was his fault messing up the booking.

Until the last moment the villa became one of the best hotels we stayed in. But, from the second day we experienced the visit of an angry monkey looking for food, the monkey wasn’t afraid of us and we had to run up to the bedroom and lock the door. This situation was frustrating because we were unable to enjoy the pool or just to stay downstairs. The monkey kept coming to us the next days during the daytime. He was agressive. We could not have breakfast outside because we knew the monkey would come. The first day we saw it, we were at the pool and we saw it next to us showing its teeth in a very agressive way. It’s very frustrating because I have the feeling that we didn’t enjoy this stay even though and the villa itself was amazing. Bad luck…

Amazing place and amazing staff, they were like family when we stayed in Lombok! We will come back for sure!

Unfortunately nothing. Me and my partner arrived for our 2 night stay as part of our honeymoon. On arrival we were taken to the room but it was evident that this was not the room we had booked and paid for. We had booked the villa with the view however the accommodation had double booked us and those villas were all in use. The villa they had given us was located in the basement, had pipes coming out and monkeys attempting to take some fruit that had been left out! Unfortunately we were disappointed and decided it would be best to find alternative accommodation as the room we had booked was unavailable. We waited an hour for the hotel owner to arrive and we discussed things with her, by this time it was around 8pm and we were very tired from a day of travelling. We politely asked if we could have a refund for our stay due to their error and would find alternative accommodation. She was not very keen on offering this despite it being a fault on their part. Eventually she agreed to a refund for only 1 night and said we would receive it within 2 weeks. It has now been over 5 weeks and they have yet to issue the refund. I have contacted her directly to try to resolve this and they have been very poor in communicating. It’s a shame I’m having to leave this review as I hoped things could have been resolved in a more discreet manner. Lombok as an island was otherwise lovely, i just wouldn’t recommend this villa as there are plenty of others to choose from!

Service was amazing here! The staff were easily contactable via a WhatsApp groupchat so anytime we needed anything they were really quick to respond to catering to our requests or changes. The room was also very comfortable and private. Aircon worked amazing and there’s a ceiling fan in the room and also outside in the lounge area so we never felt the heat, was super nice to be in all areas of the villa. We stayed in the one bedroom villa with the outdoor bathtub and pool - was so nice to be surrounded by nature. The staff also helped us prepare the outdoor bath on one of the days where they provided bath salts, oil, a candle and bar soap. Also loved the flat screen tv which had Netflix, YouTube and other apps we could use and it pulls out at an angle which made our night time Netflix ritual super comfortable. Location was also great, not exactly walkable to main Kuta Center but with a scooter it was like 5 mins just down the hill so it was super convenient for us to get around - close enough to the main area but away from the noise. They are also currently working on building out their spa so in terms of facilities for now, it’s just the rooms. But we did get access to Xeno gym down the street which is an amazing bamboo gym that has classes like cross fit, yoga, pilates and other workouts which was a great addition to one of our mornings :) there is also a place called Ashtari just a 5 mins walk from the place which is a beautiful space up on a cliff where you can do yoga or sometimes they host sound healing sessions which was incredible. Look out for Almitra or Free - they’re both amazing instructors there and there’s also a restaurant at the top with the most beautiful view and amazing food options.

Unfortunately the wifi wasn’t great here, we didn’t need to use it as much so it wasn’t an issue but for those who may be working remotely I’m not sure if the wifi would be strong enough for work calls. We also had a bit of an issue with our scooter but once we shared it with the staff they were quick to help us replace it at the same price (although pricing was a bit higher than we expected based on some of the other places we stayed; 95000/day for smaller scooter and 150000/day for bigger scooter - typically we noticed at other places it’s 85000/day for a bigger scooter so maybe could consider revising the prices for future). Another thing was the breakfast options, hoping the place can consider some Asian options like mee goreng or nasi goreng to add to the list. On the first morning we had the sausage egg muffin and the pancakes, and the muffin wasn’t toasted well and the pancakes could have been cooked longer to give it a more golden brown crisp on the outside. But we ate the eggs Benedict the following two days and those were great! Also might be good to provide some mosquito coils, they only really come out at night (this is everywhere in Lombok) and my bf and I went to go buy some from the supermarket down the street. Once we set it up we didn’t have any issues with mosquitos throughout our stay but if the place could provide them that would be a nice touch. Despite this, all in all we had a great stay and were super sad to leave!

The villa was amazing 😍 We stayed here for 3 days and the staff was treating us well. The breakfast was really amazing, the view, the room, so clean as well! I really recommend this place for enjoying your time in Kuta ❤️

The Villas are very true to the images and nicely decorated, the pool gets sun for most of the day until around 2pm and the bathtub is great, the breakfast delivered daily is fresh and filling.

For us it was the wrong location, we did not particularly want to hire a scooter but the villa is up the hill & taxi's are non existent in Kuta, after a few days we realised the team can order a car for us to drop us in town but you are limited on how late you can return, there are also no restaurants or cafes particularly close meaning a good 1km walk even to get lunch. We also found the service a little sporadic, towels seems to be an issue I assume they don't have spare & send them to be laundered each day but it meant they were late back on several occasions when we wanted to have a bath. One day even though they had organised a trip for us the room was not serviced and bizarelly even though they had arranged an airport transfer for us we received a message asking us what time we would be arriving! These are little things but it it also not one of the cheapest options available in Kuta so I think worth highlighting.
