"Great hotel but overpriced and non-existent customer service"

The bedroom was spacious. The location was great, environment was generally pretty peaceful and the pool was amazing.

The staff was absent at reception. There were groups of people sitting outside, but we didn’t always know who was staff, and it almost felt like we were intruding if we were to ask for help. We weren’t given any instructions upon arrival, e.g., using the facilities or entering the hotel after hours. We were woken up several times around 4 am because of guests coming back drunk, jumping into the pool, and making lots of noise. This is likely due to the lack of staff and clear rules/ instructions around respecting quiet hours. Given how expensive the hotel is, I expected more staff present and better customer service.

The entire stay was exceptional. Amazing (AMAZING) owners and staff who were helpful and kind. Excellent and quiet location that's the perfect location between Mazunte and San Augustinillo. Really good WiFi for some work I had to take care of. Super comfortable beds and pillows. Great shower. I could go on and on... Everything about it was perfect.

"Wonderful staff with lovely rooms"

The staff are lovely! Super friendly and accommodating. No bugs can get into the rooms as they have sliding doors and mosquito screens. The hotel is still very new so the rooms feel super fresh. Comfy beds too! I rented an ATV so I could easily hop between Mazunte, San Agustinillo and Zipolite, but on days when the traffic into SA was bad (between Xmas and NYE) it takes 5 mins to walk down the hill into San Agustinillo to the beach or to my fav food place, Umami.

Some nights over the Christmas period it was a little bit noisy in the evenings, with other guests and kids playing by the pool. However when I spoke to the hotel about this they were amazing, and happily moved me to a much quieter room ❤️
