NZI had a wonderful stay at the De Karangajah coffee plantation. It feels like a time capsule. The property is very much like it was back in the Dutch colonial times. There are two museums with lots of little interesting exhibits. There is a cafe which serves Indonesian food and very good coffee from 9am to 4.30pm, which you do need to think about if you are staying. I went to have a few days of peace and quiet. However, I discovered that on the weekends there are an awful lot of visitors because locals love to have their photos taken there. It actually was very nice to meet them. I am giving a 10 for the whole experience which was just purely wonderful. The room itself, does need an upgrade. It's quite adequate, and well cleaned. The ceiling fan worked, the hot water was actually hot and plentiful, but the room does need to be brought up to a more modern standard.

Difficult to find meals for dinner
ITÈ un posto molto particolare. In una piantagione di caffè, nella natura e nella pace. Semplice nella struttura, ma pulitissimo e spazioso. Molto interessante gli strumenti gamelan nella veranda accanto alle stanze, il piccolo museo personale dei proprietari della piantagione. Abbiamo fatto passeggiate molto gradevoli, attraverso campi di caffè, ananas e manioca. Raccomandiamo molto questa struttura a chi vuole godersi un po' di tranquillità.
Non è facile da raggiungere e a volte i Grab si perdono. A questo proposito è stata importante l'aiuto dell'efficiente Lydia.
NLThe location is lovely – peaceful, cosy, and full of charm. Set on a coffee plantation, there’s plenty of space to stroll around and enjoy the surroundings. The little museum offers some interesting insights into the area’s history, and the café is warm and inviting, loved the ,vintage’ styling. I loved the place and the relaxed atmosphere. The staff is great. Great hot shower
