Derby City Getaway

The place was clean. The host was quick to respond to questions. One day when we arrived back they had brought in a new basketball because the old one was flat.

House is small cute and cozy but Location is in a run down area. House not suitable for party with little kids or older people. Stairs are like getting up and down on a ladder 🪜. Furniture and Bedding quality was ok. Had to checkout and leave the stay after one day out of two days of booking as it was not well suited for kids and elderly. On the first night of stay Requested host to cancel the reservation for the same reason but host denied.

The fact that only booked it for one night

Comfy beds, good water pressure, lots of blankets and beds, decorated nicely, hosts were very responsive.

It was dirty and not cleaned well (showers and kitchen sinks and fridge and freezer were dirty), steps to basement seemed unsafe, it rained one night and water was coming in and hitting us in the bed next to the bathroom (getting us and the bed wet), downstairs bedroom did not have a door. Neighborhood seemed unsafe.

Nothing!! In the description of the property it said 2 bathrooms one is only a half bath. There was no mention that there were stairs. My husband is disabled and the one bathroom that had a shower is upstairs( very steep stairs). To get to the hot tub from the front apartment we had you would have to go through the front door outside through a gated driveway and it’s all the way at the back of the property. The people in the back apartment made us very uncomfortable when we went to the back to check things out. They came out and stared at us the whole time we were there. It was very junky in the back weight bench sitting in the drive and trashy looking. Those people would have access to where we would have to park. We literally walked in and saw the stairs and I called the owners. The living room furniture is very dated and not clean looking. We locked the door and left. We had 6 people traveling with us for my sister’s anniversary. So on a Saturday night trying to find a place to accommodate all of us was impossible. We had driven almost 2 hours to get there. Spent and hour on the phone looking for a place to stay. So we had to call our trip off and drive 2 hours home. Very disappointed in this property. They finally refunded us half of our money and we were in the place for literally 10 minutes. Would not recommend at all

It says it’s on a busy street which is true but in a very bad part of town. There were homeless people everywhere and we did not feel safe there at all

We loved the hot tub had a blast nice and clean apartment.

Only thing is there was no propane for the fire pit couldn't get it to work and it was cold outside
