Hafod Shepherd Hut

The hut was fantastic. Lovely location. Very comfortable and homely feel. My only negative points, although we knew it was self catering, would of been nice complementary tea and coffee,as we have stayed in similar and it was nice to have a cuppa on arrival. Loved the hot tub,but Wales being Wales we have unpredictable weather and would of been nice to have had some sort of parasol as the rain came off the Shepherds hut into the hot tube. Please don't take this as a criticism as we had a lovely time and would highly recommend you guys,we only trying to better the experience.

Beautiful inside. Very clean and well maintained. There was a hot tub and a decked area. The water in the hot tub was clean and warm. There was also a log burner which we did not use as the property was already very warm. The bathroom was immaculate. Good parking. Beautiful views. This place is ideal for young and able bodied couples. Located very close to Aber university and town.

The bed was very high which was difficult for my wife who has a disability to get into. I would not recommend it to anyone with a mobility problem or a disability. The hot tub came on periodically throughout the night which was noisy. I went out a couple of times to switch it off, but it came back on each time. The hot tub was not that private, as I discovered when the people in the property next door came out to smoke. There are gaps in the fencing which are easy to see through.

The hot tub was amazing and we loved the high bed with lots of storage. Also the big shower!

The hut was fine as was the location. Bed was comfortable.

Cleanliness - The shower wasn’t draining properly so the wife removed the plug and found a build up of hair, quite a lot. See pictures. Floor was neither hoovered or mopped and the kitchen sides hadn’t been wiped down. Shower - Was broken.

Super clean apartment, plenty of facilities inside including all your cooking items and a bbq on the deck which was a nice surprise. Really comfy and light/airy space. The views are incredible and we had two peaceful nights in the hot tub getting some rest and recharge.

Very convenient for Aberystwyth. Easy to find. Very clean and well equipped.

Car park space in front of accommodation is not specified as such and was more often than not occupied by someone else. Hot tub very noisy in the night as it kept itself to temperature.

Everything. It was clean, comfortable and spacious for a shepherd's hut. It was lovely to have a hot tub. Parking right outside as well. The facilities was also everything you need. 5 mins from the centre and a lovely Chinese takeaway 8 mins away in the other direction in the next village.

Nothing - just a tip - take tea bags, coffee and milk etc. Only because some expect that to be provided. I came fully prepared :)

I appreciate this site allowed dogs however there was a dog on the touring part and the dog barked from 3:30pm when we arrived until 10pm. I called reception at 9pm as we had had enough of the barking. We came away for 1 night break and the constant dog barking spoilt the stay
