Madra Rentals Bucharest One

A bit delayed in my review. I stayed here for about 2 months, so this may help someone who plans to stay for 30 or more days. When I first booked, I chose this location simply because of it's close proximity to Old Town, but I did not imagine just how great this place would be for a longer term stay. Madra, the main host, has thought of almost everything a person would need to stay in this place. The apartment had everything one needs and also has a nice dedicated area for working or reading. She was super helpful if there were any problems and if I needed help to check out places in the city. The building and area is generally very quiet during night hours, so you can be sure to get some good night's sleep. This location is close to a Mega Image grocery store. For those who only speak English, definitely try and learn a few phrases in Romanian, but the self-checkout kiosks do offer English language as well. The shop has almost all the basic items you need. Profi City and a few other stores are nearby too. The apartment has all the basic utensils, pots and pans to prepare a home cooked meal. There's also a gas powered oven, so you can bake things too! And if you don't feel like cooking, the Old Town (Centru Vechi) is about 10-15 mins walking distance. Walking down the main boulevard is always a good time, especially during spring when the flowers start to bloom. For longer stays (30 days or more), there are a few options. I went to a place called: Too clean - spalatorie ecologica, which was recommended by Madra. I was lucky enough to find a lady there who speaks English as well, so it made things a lot easier. The ladies who work there are super professional and the clothes were always well cleaned. If I travel to Bucharest again, I will be sure to pick this location again, if it's available. I felt like I was getting a 5-star hotel service during my trip, so I am truly grateful to have connected with such a lovely host.

No negatives for me, everything was within my expectations.
