Botum Palace Hotel

Friendly reception staff, but issues started from the moment I arrived. Starting with the location, the entrance is basically in a smelly, dirty, narrow street gutter. Then the reception didn't have a working card reader and insisted on cash, which I luckily actually had on me, but they were picky, not accepting USDs I had which had nothing wrong with it besides not looking prestine, they only took the most freshly looking minted dollars I had. Besides a renovated reception, the rest of the hotel is dated, run down, and furnished hap hazardly to put it mildly. The area is noisy, I could hardly ever sleep with the loud vibrating disco music 24/7, which left me exhausted and with a migraine when i left. It's also extremely smelly, everything from the bedsheets to the pillows to the smells of nasty gutters and food seeping in from the broken windows. The experience is so disgusting I could keep writing about it, but I'll spare you. Just find a different hotel and save yourself a nightmare.

Quiet hotel located in a small street. Helpful staff and good amenities.

Access to the main street is through a dark, unclean alley. Inconvenient if you want to take ypur luggage to the taxi. Supply of hot water in the bathroom is very irregular.
