Wir haben hier die ersten 3 Nächte verbracht, ein Traum zum entspannen, ankommen und genießen. Wir hatten das untere Bambushaus mit Blick an den Fluss und eigenem Pool. Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen was wir wussten und auch wollten. Man kann mit dem Roller oder zu Fuß den Ort erkunden.

Wir haben nicht bedacht, dass wir keine Sonne haben und daher der Pool immer "kalt" war.

We had a lovely stay at Suenyo Eco Retreat and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay—always kind, welcoming, and eager to help. We also really enjoyed the massage service, which was excellent, and most of the food and drinks we ordered were delicious.

The villa itself was beautiful and well maintained, but there are a few areas that could make the experience even better. The slippers provided were the between-toes style rather than open-toe slippers, which we personally found uncomfortable after wearing them for a while. We would also have appreciated a mosquito net canopy around the bed, as it would provide extra comfort and peace of mind during the night, although insect repellent was thoughtfully provided. The private pool was nice, but it was not heated and remained quite cold during our stay, partly because the villa received limited direct sunlight. We also felt that the pool area offered slightly less privacy than expected due to its position near the stairs. Another point to mention is that the surrounding area was quite noisy at times because of nearby construction work, with drilling and building sounds during the day. The restaurant food was generally very good, but as visitors unfamiliar with some of the local cuisine, we found the menu a little difficult to navigate. Adding photos to the menu could be a helpful improvement for international guests. One small disappointment was the coffee service. We were informed that the coffee machine had broken on the morning of our arrival and had been sent for repair. While we appreciated being offered traditional Balinese coffee as an alternative, it was unfortunately too strong for our taste. Given the level of luxury and service provided by the resort, we felt that a backup solution should be available so guests can still enjoy basic coffee options such as a latte or cappuccino during unforeseen equipment issues. Despite these points, we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the warm hospitality of the team. Thank you for looking after us and for creating such a beautiful retreat experience.
