I got to stay in one of the larger houses at the bottom of the hill. It had everything you need. Good bath room (as almost everywhere in Bali and Lombok missing the mirror and hooks in the right place 😄), a comfy bed, couch, desk and even a disco-light 💚. Drinking water is available and the owners told me they want to install a public kitchen soon. The architecture of the place is what totally caught me. The stair case uphill should be listed in any good travel guide on Kuta, Lombok. The owners are an easy-going family and they really care to make your stay comfy. The Warung (Lamina Warung) just next door is also one of the best places I visited for food in Kuta. The place appears remote but with a scooter you are in town in just 3 minutes.

If you have a light sleep take some ear plugs with you as the road can get loud with some of the motos passing by and the mosques calling for service. If you are looking for a sleek marble palace with a horde of service personnel this will not be the place for you - adjust your expectations for the price you pay. But at this rate the place and its charme is hardly beaten by anything in the area.
