Wadi Rum Alia Luxury Camp

We had an air conditioned igloo tent at the end of May 2026, with a very comfortable bed and pillows, small fridge, shower, with a beautiful view of Wadi Rum. Almost all tents have nothing in front, something we absolutely took into account when booking this place. In many other hotels of Wadi Rum, you risk to have another tent as your front view. You can easily book excursions with the hotel, and pay then with credit card or cash (JOD). They are expensive, but the experience if worth it. They provide the list and prices before you arrive, so you have time to decide. Contact prior to arrival was easy, we actually arranged a taxi from Wadi Musa (Petra) with them, and we used later the same taxi to go to Aqaba. Dinner was very tasty, and the atmosphere of the facilities is really beautiful. Since we booked 2 excursions in the same day (morning, outside the protected area, and afternoon, inside the protected area, we also booked lunch at the hotel, and they was plenty of food in our dishes.

Anything, everything was perfect. But please notice the distance from the road to the hotel is barely 5 mins by car (1 km). We didn't have to pay it, but the message from the hotel says if you don't book an excursion with them you have to pay 15 JOD (21 USD) per person just to guide your car (with another car) during this 5 mins from the road to the hotel, which we think is absolutely unfair and overpriced. If is a normal practice among the hotels of the zone, considering this small distance, the hotel should use other initiatives to engage visitors doing the desert tours with them.

De kamer was goed in orde en voorzien van alle gewenste faciliteiten. De Airco was wel niet zwaar genoeg voor de tent, maar dat geeft niet. Het avondeten was lekker en goed verzorgd. De aangeboden tourpaketten waren correct geprijsd.

Het ontbijt was nogal pover, zeker gezien het avondeten waren de verwachtingen hier hoger. Na het boeken van de tourpakketten viel de gastvrijheid ook wat weg, je kreeg een beetje het gevoel dat het hem gewoon te doen was om zoveel mogelijk geld te verdienen, eens dat gebeurd was, zag je niemand meer. Het feit dat de verlichting van de meeste campsites de hele nacht bleef branden deed ons ook vermoeden dat ze dat deden om meer geld te verdienen met nachttours

The toilets were new and very functional

At dusk, the window glass was a bit dirty and I had to clean it.
