The Grove

Buen desayuno occidental. Habitación grande, silenciosa y con balcón. Excepcional si quieres desconectar y relajarte. Están construyendo una piscina en el alojamiento, actualmente se utiliza la del alojamiento contiguo.

Alejada de Kandy. Trayecto en coche al alojamiento por carretera estrecha y muy empinada. Recomendable solo si no vas a realizar múltiples desplazamientos.

Beautiful property with amazing views, the staff and owners were friendly and welcoming

It was a lovely place, my family had a peaceful couple of days, however my 11 year old kept complaining as not much activities apart from the pool. That pool was amazing, views are stunning and also nothing to complain about foods. Host Piyal and his wife were very friendly, and the staff was very attentive.

Property needs a few basic stuff to add on, like tea/coffee maker in rooms, hair dryer in wash rooms, indoor activities and high speed broadband coverage rooms far side etc.

Prachtig huis / hotel met de mooiste uitzichten over de bergen. We werden hartelijk ontvangen en konden gebruik maken van het zwembad in het naastgelegen hotel, met fantastisch uitzicht! We hebben er 's avonds heerlijk gegeten. De volgende ochtend moesten we om 08:13 uur in Kandy zijn om de trein te halen. Het is wel ruim een half uur rijden naar het station, dus we moesten vroeg op. Half 7 ontbijt: geen probleem. De eigenaar heeft ons vervolgens zelf naar het station gebracht. Wat een lieve man!

Super Gastgeber in einem tollen ruhigen Hotel. Der Ausblick aus dem Pool ist unbeschreiblich. Wir waren als Familie für 2 Nächte dort. Kandy ist mit dem TukTuk in ca. 35 Minuten zu erreichen.

The Grove je velmi pěkné ubytování, dům je designově velmi zajímavý, moderní a příjemný. Výhledy jsou zde jedinečné. Snídaně rozmanité a výborné.

The location of the accommodation is very very remote from any town. It is also located on a hill and a steep and broken road leads to it. This in itself would not have mattered so much, but many tuktuk drivers refused to drive to the accommodation or wanted a hefty surcharge for the journey, saying it was a dangerous road. Nonsense, they just want to make a buck because they're driving a bit out of civilization. You'd think the landlord would have worked it out somehow and have his own driver to take care of the guests at a reasonable price. The accommodation does have a driver, but count on him being aware of the situation and letting you pay heavily. Plus, we found out that he is related to the landlord (he surely knows about the prices). It's a bit of a cash grab and that's a shame.

Le couple est très sympathique, ainsi que les employés. La nourriture est très bonne, le petit déjeuner aussi. La vue des montagnes est magnifique. La piscine était en travaux mais nous pouvions aller dans celle de l'hôtel à moins de 30 secondes à pieds.

Les draps étaient propres, mais tâchés c'est dommage. Le bassin intérieur avec les poissons, l'eau était noire c'est dommage aussi.

Super lieu pour y résider avec une pote ayant une vue à couper le souffler. Le propriétaire des lieux est super gentil et avons passé un très agréable moment avec lui
