Finikas Cave House

Lovely little cave house with everything in it. Not a far walk from the parking. Walking through narrow als nice beautiful white little roads to your apartment was hot but great and very easy. We had a more than 4h delay with our flight, but Elvis was so super kind to put 2 great salades, bread, and even a dessert in our apartment. (Arrived at 1.40 in the morning) We really loved our place and our neighbours. Very comfortable bed and air-conditioning is working also perfect.

Everything was perfect for a 4 night stay. Lovely place🤩 But I think it's very important to mention that every tourist has to know that you have to be very thoughtful with your water use. Locals can have the water turned off for very long periods, saving water is a priority for everyone, and hotels and rentals should make people aware of that. We had that before in South Africa to and when you know it, you can handle this on your daily holiday journey. At the moment they say that they are still oke but there are already locals who only doing a machine wash when they see the water is on and they flush their toilet after two or three wees, not just after one, they turn the water off, when soaping, shampooing and back on to rinse. The water is getting low, so please don't waste it 💧think about the residents on this beautiful island 🏝

The Cave house is pretty, very peaceful with no loud music around and has everything you need in the well assortered kitchenette. The host is very helpful about anything you need and replies fast. We were also happy about the cleaning service upon request - worked perfectly.

Nothing is bad. There is a tendency for ants so be careful about trash and leaving dishes unwashed. But it wasn’t a problem.

The apartment is very beautiful with tasteful decoration and large space for 2, plus a big terrace to enjoy the view on the very cute Finikia. There is a free parking nearby, a mini market and several good restaurants, just beware that in October breakfast offer is limited. Finikia is really beautiful and calm, and it is easy to join Oia or the walk to Fira by foot, with views on the Caldeira. We even had a show of donkeys every morning just in front of the terrace, carrying bags around the town, which was funny and typical.

A few things need to be fixed in the apartment (small things, but is explains why we did not rate it 10) but we signaled it to the owner and they will be repaired soon. An umbrella or other would be good to have some shade and enjoy the terrace in the afternoon. Also communication was easy by whatsapp, but like in several apartments in the Cyclades we did not see the owner, this is a little impersonal to our taste.

Everything was perfect and Eleni is a suuuper host very kind and helpful!
