Airport Inn Roatan

Staff was amazing and so helpful. If you need a hotel near the airport, this is the one you should book. The hotel can book a shuttle if you need one but it's walking distance from the airport. The room was enough for my budget.

The shower could've used an extra cleaning but everything else was clean (floor, bedding, towels, etc.). Oh and the AC in my room was a little bit too loud.

The facilities were, tired. Could be fixed up with very little effort.

Poor bedroom wiring, no hot water, no coffee pot, garden view or swimming pool as advertised in booking. Com. Out side eating area were bricks stacked up. Never seen a smaller refrigerator.

Nice travelers inn for the type of people who want to be in a good budget inn and experience the local culture. Not for the type that wants an all inclusive hotel that is sterilized from the locals and who want to be behind gates. Lots of expats and locals living together in a family like community.

The kindness of the owners (Sheri, Leonal, and Scott) made my stay very enjoyable from the beginning: Leonal was waiting with the shuttle at the ferry terminal as soon as I arrived to Roatan; Dagoberto carried my luggage to my comfortable accommodation and ensured that my room was ready; Shakira made an amazing hamburger with meat from Sheri and Leonal's local farm; Scott shuttled me to the store in search of almond butter before heading to Las Palmas to access the beach and watch the sunset); and, finally, I sat with all three owners and another guest for dinner and conversation to the song of the rain falling on the canopy until 2 a.m. in the morning.

Excellent location just 5 minutes drive to airport. Perfect for an overnight stay to catch the next day flight. Great hosts, excellent breakfast, and perfect airport shuttle service for free.
