Hostel blue house Taghazout

Very well kept, facilities were very clean and good quality fittings and fixtures, mattress and pillow very comfortable, clearly a lot of effort went in to making it comfortable for guests. Please note this is not a party style hostel, more like someones home. A lot of emphasis is placed on keeping the place clean, but with a bit of respect is easily achieved. Breakfast was delicious for €5, everything was homemade and the best we had during our week long stay in Morocco. Hosts speak Spanish. Quiet part of town, much easier to sleep than some more central hostels. Great value.

Sound insulation could be improved but not necessary. Location requires a bit of a walk uphill

We liked the view from the rooftop, the bed and duvet was comfortable and the hike to the top of the stairs was fun. The hosts were also friendly.

Our room was ok, but the “en-suite bathroom” doesn’t have complete walls to the ceiling and other rooms in the hostel also didn’t seem to have complete walls. The bathroom didn’t feel very clean. Also it was advertised as a room with a view, but it should be advertised as a room with a window. You could only see the view if you stood on top of the bed, the window was so high. The breakfast was okay. I didn’t like the fact we had to order our breakfast via WhatsApp the night before. It was also quite expensive compared to a cheaper hostel we were at before. The coffee wasn’t good. The social space was a lot smaller than it looked from the pictures and the whole place felt quite cramped.

Très belle vue depuis le rooftop sur la baie de Taghazout. Wifi qui fonctionnait très bien. Petit déjeuner en supplément correct. C’est malheureusement, tout ce qu’il y a de positif.

Arnaque au parking par des jeunes des notre arrivée qui nous réclament de l’argent alors que celui ci est gratuit. Ne vous faites pas avoir ! Très peu de communication avec notre hôte alors que j’avais fait confirmer notre heure d’arrivée et notre chambre. Bingo, nous avons poiroté 30 min devant l’entrée avant que la propriétaire espagnole qui ne parle aucun mot d’anglais ne daigne nous répondre par whatsapp. Les indications n’étaient pas clair, la priorité est d’être subjectif avec des smileys, on joue aux devinettes ! Pour couronner le tout, notre chambre confirmée au préalable à été donnée à quelqu’un d’autre, nous nous retrouvons en premier lieu dans une toute petite chambre miteuse au niveau du rooftop. 15 min plus tard, la propriétaire espagnole revient vers nous pour nous donner une autre chambre un peu mieux mais toujours pas celle souhaitée. Bref, malgré les bas prix, les chambres sont précaires. Aucune isolation, pas de chauffage, pas d’eau chaude, draps manquants et non faits, pas de gel douche, odeur d’égout constant, ménage mal fait et j’en passe… Bref, nous ne sommes pas des princesses mais si vous souhaitez le strict minimum, sachez que vous ne le trouverez pas. Et en partant, ils insistent bien sur whatsapp pour que nous laissions un commentaire, une bonne note et des photos ! Voilà pourquoi ils ont 9,5 sur booking 😅 Et je ne parle pas du village en lui même qui n’est qu’un attrape touristes de bout en bout.
