The whole stay was unpleasant. Tried to check in, used the code for the lockbox and there was no key left in the box, we then had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to open the door as i couldn’t get through to the owner. We was eventually let in and then shown to a room which was not our room we booked. I booked a triple room for 3 people and we had to settle for a double bed and a small sofa like bed which was not fit to be slept on. Sleeping 3 people in this room was far from ideal, we had to put up with it because there was no other option for us. I think this homestay needs to be ran more efficiently as the conversation we had with the guy was not easy and kept saying he’s sorry but it’s not good enough in my opinion. We have booked a room and then been given something completely different. Pretty rough night but got through it. I hope to hear back from the owner and receive an apology and some sort of compensation. Hopefully a full refund !!
