Peacock Riverside Eco Lodge

A green and beautifully run guest house where we really like to stay. The owners were some of the kindest people we met and went out of their way to give us advice and a smile! The owners talk to us very well. Dinner was perfect, very romantic and delicious buffet. We also booked a safari through them which we love, it was just the two of us in the jeep and we saw more elephants with a knowledgeable driver ( sujee ) .Definitely getting old. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality

During our stay at the Peacock Riverside Guest house, we did not only enjoy great service, an amazing safari, very clean rooms and delicious food, we also made such a wonderful friendship with Sujee. Sujee and his wife and brother (who owns the restaurant around the corner) are such kind and lovely people. They always made sure that we have everything we need and arranged everything for us. Sujee himself will be your guide for the safari. Within our tour, we were really lucky and saw many different animals, as Sujee knows where to look and drive. He also introduced us to his squirrel friend „Chuty". As for the rooms, they are very clean, equipped with a fan and ac and have modern wash rooms. The rice and curry Sujee's wife prepred for us was more than amazing! All in all, we could not have been happier during our stay and are glad to have made a friend like Sujee. We are looking forward to our next stay!

Our stay here was just spectacular. The little house is in the middle of the jungle and you get to see birds and so many little animals from the balcony. Beautiful! It feels like paradise on earth. Also, sujee is the most welcoming host you can imagine. He does everything to make you feel at home. The food was the best we have tasted in Sri Lanka so far (and sujee also showed us how Sri Lankan people eat with their hands). He also walked us around his gardens and we could see passion fruit, pineapple, cinnamon and so many plants more. The safari he organised for us was also very nice. If you have ever dreamed of sleeping in the jungle, peacock Riverside is your choice!

The location was great. They have three large bedrooms with nice balcony view. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner from the lodge. It was awsome.. They also have their safari service. So we had a safari tour in Udawalawe National Park. They arranged it in a way that we could get every possible view in the jungle. It was a great experience.. I Would recommend this place to anyone.

We were picked up from our previous stay and took us to the lodge. It was a nice lodge with a beautiful view. From the little balcony you can have a nice view of a river. It was beautiful. And the stay was very comfortable for the price and the meals were delicious. We took their safari tour also. It was a great experience. The guide took much time to show us the animals so that he could give us the best experience and didn't rush us. I can recommend their safari to anyone.
