Njakaimba Beachfront Villa.

The property manager, Joseph Karanja, was exceptional. He contacted me before our travel date and stayed in touch throughout our stay. We traveled by road and got lost near the end because the pin location recalibrated, but Joseph kindly came to meet us. He also recommended Chef Catherine, who was outstanding—my family even joked that we should bring her back to Nairobi because she is that good. The main road along Mtwapa is in very poor condition (it has been under construction for what feels like forever), so we mostly stayed at the property. Next time, we’ll use the Mariakani–Kaloleni–Mavueni road, which is fully tarmacked. The property itself is excellent and located within Sultan Palace Beach Resort, which feels secure and offers three pools (two were functional during our stay), a mini-mart, and a restaurant. It’s within walking distance to the beach and has strong WiFi, good air conditioning, and great showers with plenty of water.

The mattresses were a bit hard. Since it rained on most days, extra bedding would have helped keep us warmer. The showers are solar-powered, so on rainy days the water wasn’t as hot as we would have liked. For anyone planning kitchen meals on a budget, I’d recommend shopping in bulk or buying supplies in advance for better value.

We had an absolutely fantastic week at this beachfront villa in Mombasa. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The host, Joseph, was exceptional — warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Transportation was seamlessly arranged for us, which made getting around very easy and stress-free, especially with kids. The villa itself is beautiful and perfectly located right on a pristine beach. Having access to several pools throughout the week was a real treat, and the kids absolutely loved it. They had so much space to play, swim, and enjoy themselves safely — it truly felt like a family-friendly paradise. A special mention goes to the Ms. Catherine, the cook, who was simply outstanding. Every meal was delicious, well-prepared, and adapted to our preferences. It added such a luxurious and relaxing touch to the stay, allowing us to fully unwind and enjoy our time together. Overall, this was a memorable and relaxing holiday: peaceful, well-organized, and full of thoughtful touches. We would highly recommend this property to families or anyone looking for a comfortable beachfront escape in Mombasa, and we would happily return.

Great place, great host, amazing communicator. I've been to this location twice now and will keep coming back. The beach is so.... pure it feels private. Took a walk into the deep sea with the kids and saw lots of sea creatures... Highly recommend... It's better than the boat rides. Loved the guides as well and the guard. Got a massage by the beach 🏖️ too! Coming back, this time with my parents.

The villa is in an excellent location in a gated complex next the beach. The hosts are very responsive and helpful.

The children play facilities in the gated complex are a bit neglected, posing a danger to the children playing there. This is not specific for the villa but the common facilities.
