Lakeside Fish Farm

Un endroit magique, au calme et totalement atypique. La découverte d’une ferme qui a demandé beaucoup d’investissement par les propriétaires.

La visite obligatoire du site, dont on apprend à la fin qu’elle était payante....

It is a quiet place really quiet to be in Rwanda and the atmosphere is laizy and good for holiday. The food was really good, the sounds from the nature in evening is good therapy to listen too, and the staff is friendly and helpful and help you with everything you ask for (even to bring water late at the evening). Its also a good price for the stay (at a room) its not expensive.

The first about 30 hours of the two days stay it was not possible to tace a shower and you didnt want to go and the toilet or wash your hands because the water that came out was so dirty. Maybe we were just unlucky with the time we came that it was a problem there, the last time it was clean water and it was fixing. Every places can meet things that happen which is out of their control. But this off course create problem for our two days stay specially for my wife that which things too be really clean. The bathroom was also not clean anywhay also when we came so it should have been someone for cleaning before the guests come. This is important for the guest experience of a place, that is not is dirty. It also came in mosquito in the room even if everything was closed (but not many)

Very calm pace with beutiful garden. Perfect for rest.

Nice and good place, really quiet and you could just listen to the sound of the nature. This was really good when you otherwise stay in Kigali. Peacful and good, and the dog at the place also loved me so much. It was a good price for this place and also not expensive to order thing, and not so far from Kigali to travel to this place. The stay was good.

This was an amazing spot to spend the day. I wish we had more time to explore more of what the place had to offer. Roger and Faith have created an outstanding space to support the local community.

So the room is just a basic room, but the reason you should absolutely stay here is because the hosts Roger and Faith have built the most amazing farm on the shores of the lake, and you can have fresh caught Tilapia for dinner and take a tour of the farm, its animals, understand the business and enjoy the beautiful property. The hospitality was an 11 out of 10 and it was a very memorable experience.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Great location right next to a lake. Very calm and peaceful place. Friendly owners and great food for breakfast and dinner. Everything is freshly cooked. Prices are also good.
