When I arrived at this houseboat I had a lovely greeting from the staff. My room in the houseboat was very nice and it was very clean. I was booked for two nights.

my last night at about 1 o’clock in the morning I went to the toilet I realise that we were sinking. The first thing I did was wake up the two people next door to me. we quickly got out and we got most of our belongings with us. once the staff arrived they didn’t care about us at all. They only worried about the furniture and the carpets of the boat that was sinking. I told them to ring the owner, they couldn’t get hold of him so I got hold of one of the managers. Why couldn’t the staff got hold of them? We were left in the cold for at least half an hour and then we were moved to another boat house. We were freezing. what I am very disappointed about, the owner did not phone me or ask if we are okay. he could very easily come first thing in the morning to take control of the situation. I know that he will make 1 million excuses. I think the only reason he never made contact with us he was worried that we ask for compensation. I lost my toiletries. both the older couple and I think that we should be compensated at least for one night. The couple kept saying to me that I have saved the life and they could’ve drowned but the management did not take it seriously. Please if you value your life and you want good service do not stay here. I am not blaming the management for this accident but not caring for us not making contact leaving us in the cold this is very disappointing.

It was a lovely stay and the views are amazing!! Also, they help as a lot with everything. The rooms are very nice and clean and the food is so nice!!! I firmly recommend this place!!😍

This was our first visit to Kashmir and we were lucky enough to find the magical luxury gulbahaar group of Houseboat on Dal Lake in Srinagar. There was a fantastic host and he made us feel immediately at home. His recommendations on where to visit and his knowledge of Kashmir gave us the perfect introduction to this magnificent region. We also experienced the delicious food that the host prepared for us one evening and the quality and taste was out of this world. We highly recommend to stay in this houseboat and you would be silly not to visit this wonderful family. A truly memorable trip. Thank you and your family for such a nice stay.
