Golden Horse Hotel

I wished for a decent place, close to where I was going to be for the day. I got that. The place is easy to get to. good area, secure parking.

Reception is poorly placed, its off to the side of the casino entrance. Makes the hotel experience feel like a side business to the casino. The staff were dismissive in their behavior, they defaulted to Zulu because of my race, yet I do not understand a word of Zulu. Most of them seemed to struggle with English.

The location is great. Check in process was simple. Rooms were clean and had all essential amenities. The breakfast was good, and good value for money. The hotel staff are helpful.

The biggest issue is the lack of sound proofing. Street facing/parking lot facing units can get very noisy. There does not seem to be adequate sound proofing. It feels as if the windows are constantly open, which will make it hard to sleep for light sleepers. This may only be an issue with one or two units, however it is a big negative for the price you pay per night. Something to note is the beds and pillows are on the softer side, which can be problematic for people with neck or back issues.
