"I had a lovely stay in this neat and well laid-out little cottage, and was well looked after"

The cottage is clean, well designed with nice decor, not cramped and simply but adequately equipped for a comfortable longer self catering stay. Host is friendly, respectful and extremely responsive and accommodating, making my stay really pleasurable. I enjoyed the location, just outside town and in the beauty of the surrounding farmlands, close to the mountains and only 30 km from the sea, yet also close enough to town to make grocery shopping painless. Lovely host family and staff, and the surrounding area is lovely.

The summer afternoons can get crazy hot but there's no covered/shaded outside area to sit and cool down. It's also unfortunate that the room is situated in such a way as to look directly onto the kitchen of the main house, which can make it awkward when everyone's at home, and it doesn't have direct view of the mountains, so for stays of a few days or longer, guests should be prepared to use the cottage as a comfortable base but get out and find places to enjoy the outdoors.

Janelle and her family, including her dogs and cats were the best of hosts. So welcoming and accommodating! It was my partner's birthday on the day we checked out and shortly before leaving, Janelle surprised us with a small birthday cake she'd just made :) Everything exceeded our expectations!
