Restaurant Hostel Aan Tafel

The older host was amazing. Very flexible. I came in pretty late and he was cool about it. 5 Stars for him!

It was hot and stuffy in the room. Needs air conditioner. Also, the older host told me anything in the fridge was available for breakfast, but the second host said not to use the bread, fruits, and a few other things I forgot. It was a little confusing. Some clarity would be nice. Lastly, maybe I just got unlucky, but there seemed to be fleas in my bed. I was scratching all night and couldn't figure out what happened. But once I left, the scratching stopped. Could have been just me.

The staff is nice, friendly and helpful. The toilets are good. The part of the building with the restaurant and the inside courtyard was nice.

Some part of the building seems run down. It looks like a garage, a service hallway or a basement (but on the ground floor). You shouldn't let people go there: close that access and let people enter only from the other side. Or at least clean it up. Also, there are two emergency exit signs in the room, right on top of the bed, super bright. It's complicated to sleep with them
