The house is very well built and cleaned. Above Sri Lankan standards for sure. It is a very simple house, but has everything you need, looks and smells very fresh. The lady who comes every day for breakfast and cleaning is the sweetest person that you will ever meet. Always laughing and friendly. I had a Sri Lankan breakfast with egg hoppers, coconut pancakes and milk tea. And it was really nice.

The Sri Lankan breakfast was good especially the first days. Communication via what’s app was very good. The family was very service minded. For me the location outside of the city was great. In a more rural area which offered access to local communities and a peaceful environment. Good communication to the city. Extended my stay and the family offered a discount.

Safety and security is good in the area. The ability to be able to shut the gate when leaving the property might made me think about this issue.

I would highly recommend the room with the ensuite bathroom. It is light, spacious and has a sliding door opening up to the garden. The breakfasts were also delicious and fresh. There is also a washing machine on the property which is really convenient.

The kitchen can be improved

Very good value, clean and comfortable and helpful staff.

It is a little bit on the outskirts, depending on your preferences, whether you want to be closer to the city or a more relaxed environment. For relaxation, it is conveniently located at the lake, and it is a short and cheap tuktuk ride to inner city.

Family that is hosting the place is really good and supportive. A calm place close to the Mahaweli river. It is totally a value for money place.

Clean and Good staff

the best place i have been in a long time. located in a quiet area, near a picturesque river. The hosts are very responsive and wonderful people. They cooked us very tasty breakfasts. We were allowed to use the kitchen and washing machine, which we really liked. No one lives in the house except for the guests, the owners live in the neighboring house. The entrance from the street is through an automatically lifting gate with a remote control. I really liked this accommodation, as well as the hosts, for which I am grateful and happy for their hospitality, albeit short-term.

I liked everything very much. People come here for a holiday and we should be grateful to this family for their hospitality.
