As a solo traveller it was a great experience staying here, it’s basically a house with a great rooftop with the view of Mt Kilimanjaro. Had some amazing conversations with the guys and the girls were very friendly even taught me how to cook ugali. Not to mention the stories you will share with other travellers you coincide with. Amazing accomodation and would highly recommend coming here.

Convenient location, clean rooms

Staff were not welcoming to be quite fair, always looked at us with a grim face, very difficult to approach and talk to. Not all the staff of course, but the two ladies can do much better i feel.

Everything was awesome! Staff, service, activities, wifi, room and so on! I stayed first 2 nights in this hostel but I decided to come back to stay here one more night! The owner, who is Peter, was kind and nice. Not only owner, the people who work in the hostel are super nice! Highly recommend to stay here!!

Comfortable beds and generous, delicious breakfast.

For solo female travellers, I would be careful as the staff invited some government friends over one evening who were persistent and pinched my leg when I would not share my phone number.

We're two Spanish girls. We spent five wonderful days in Moshi. The double room is beautiful and the breakfast is incredible. Whitney and Peter (the owner) took great care of us. We loved the rooftop and the garden. We'll miss this place, perfect for relaxing and enjoying Moshi. Asante.

Enjoyed staying at Karibu Africa Home. It has a common space where breakfast is served which is great to meet other travellers as well. The staff are absolutely amazing, very friendly and caring. The breakfast was delicious and filling as well. There’s also a bonfire at night which is an added bonus to have a few drinks and hang out. Highly recommend it and will definitely staying here next time I visit. Thank you Peter and family!

Peter the host was really helpful in making sure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed. He also helped us with organizing other activities. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely garden, interior design, and very friendly staff. The breakfast is amazing also.

While the place is very calm, there are some churches and/or clubs in the distance, which you can hear sometimes.

Great stay. Breakfeast is very nice the rooms are spot on and all for a very reasonable price. The owner Peter is a massive help with arranging transfers, taxis, trips etc and goes out of his way to accommodate and make you feel welcome. I would definitely recommend staying here in Moshi.
