The Lakeside Cabin

The property was situated in a great location, allowing us to visit places round about Speyside.

The property was satisfactory, however the hot water stopped working multiple times whilst we were trying to use the shower. Furthermore, there wasn’t any way to lick the caravan whilst we were out, which left us with uncertainty about the security of our belongings.

It was functional and enough space for two people. Handy to have the kitchenette. Not too far from towns with shops (although you need a car) and to attractions in the area. Owner was super friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately the caravan is sold as 'lakeside' but it is actually set back from the fishery lake and you don't get much of a view. This meant that there were also random people parking right next to you and coming and going all day which gave you less privacy. Also for Scotland, the outside area was not very practical as it rains so much that everything gets soaked. A basic roof over the top would have made it much more usable.

We don't usually stay in a caravan, so it was an interesting experience! The caravan was well equipped and in a stunningly beautiful location. Our host, Kevin, was helpful and accommodating throughout.

The bed was too small for the two of us, meaning we didn't sleep as well as we would have liked. For a smaller couple, or for one person, the size would be fine.

The caravan was comfortable and had everything for a short stays. The surroundings are very pretty.

Location was stunning, Hosts excellent, Perfect for a fishing , walking holiday.

It took some finding, our Sat Nav struggled !
