Doftana Lake House

Nice view and facility

We had a lovely weekend stay at the villa with some friends. The house is beautifully furnished, with high-quality and cozy spaces both inside and outside. It felt very comfortable and well taken care of. The host was very friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with, which made the experience smoother. Overall, a nice stay, but some important details should be updated in the listing.

However, there were a few downsides. The outdoor area was not as shown in the pictures — the water had been drained for a long time, and the landscape looked quite empty and not very nice. Also, one of the three bedrooms does not have an en-suite bathroom. Instead, the bathroom is located separately on the ground floor, while all the bedrooms are upstairs. The third bedroom is also quite small compared to the others.

House is nice and good location, you can find anything you need. The owner was always nice and helpful, overall was a good experience.

I was surprised to see that there is no lake in front, and this is changing completely the expected view. One bedroom is very small and without bathroom, this was an inconvenient and the barbecue wasn't working properly, should be changed.

Our stay at Doftana Lake House was lovely. I think the cabin looks better in reality than in the photos. The check-in was very smooth and I wish all my past workplaces would have had such a detailed ‘onboarding’ that Iulia & Marco (the hosts) prepared. It was very helpful all those details upon our arrival. The place is very cosy and you can tell at an outside first that the hosts invested a lot of emotion, time and funds. This ‘paired’ beautifully to how great Iulia & Marco are. The house features premium interior accessories. The yard is well maintained. Will come back during summer, when there will be water in the lake as well. Thank you, Iulia & Marco!

Everything was wonderful. The location, the quietness, the design of the house, the space in the living room, the garden. We really enjoyed the comfort of beds, having Atra Doftana 1 minute away and the beautiful scenery in front of the living room. The vibe is very good. The scarcity of water as a resorce made us aware to use it carrefully. We found going to Salina Slanic as a valuable experience in this area.

We had to use WhatsApp inside the property. There was no mobile Network coverage inside, but net was very fast (Netflix included). For us it was really no problem this part. The back door from the terasse was big and a little heavy to handle, but in the end I got used to it.

The house is a perfect location to escape the city over the weekend with a small group of friends and enjoy the nature and the scenery that this house has to offer. You will also find a board game to play while you are there. The house itself was very clean and warm, you’ve got everything you need in the kitchen or in the rooms and there are also some sun beds to relax. The communication with the owner was excellent and if you want to escape the city this is the perfect location for you, for us will surely be the first choice when we’ll want to relax.
