Symi Uptown Indigo

There was everything you could possibly need. It’s tiny and perfect for a young couple, definitely not for older people or those who are not fit! We left the island early partly because of this but also because we found it too busy.

The location. The very steep walk up and even going down was horrendous!

The host is great, very easy to communicate with and willing to accommodate all of our needs. The studio is decorated nicely with a traditional vibe and cozy feeling.

The studio is extremely small. It can fit a bed and one foldable chair, so there is no place to sit other than the bed. Due to this, the little oven and stove included in the studio are quite pointless, because there is no table to use for eating. At the same time, the place outside of the back door, which was meant to be used as an outdoors sitting area (the bottom of the stairs that lead to the villa) is so small that can only fit a foldable table. We booked the studio for 8 days but we only managed to stay for 3 nights and rented something else for the rest of our holidays, because it was too small to feel comfortable. But I suppose it will not be that bad if chosen for a short stay. The owners have tried to make the best of such a small place and make a viable space, but it was a difficult task. However, the villa that is exactly above the studio seems super nice and very comfortable, but unfortunately was booked.

Very nice apartment, nicely furnished with full cooking facilities if required and a good bathroom with shower. Nice garden and patio. Owner sorted out free transfer from the port to the apartment on arrival. He was also in contact by email to advise on places to go and to answer any questions we had. You do need to be reasonably fit to get to the apartment as it is located up the hill from Symi centre although there is the local bus that takes you most of the way to the apartment
