Villa Grove Shadow

We had an amazing stay at this villa in Unawatuna. The property is located away from the busy tourist area and main beach, which makes it very peaceful. The villa itself is two floors, surrounded by a large, well-kept garden full of greenery and flowers. There is a beautiful big swimming pool with a lounge area and sunbeds. Walking around the garden we saw peacocks, monitor lizards, squirrels, and monkeys. The monkeys are very polite and keep to themselves, which made the atmosphere even more special. It really feels like living in the jungle, but everything is clean and well maintained. The villa design is tasteful, combining traditional Sri Lankan style with modern comfort. Every detail is made for guests to feel relaxed. We rented the first floor, which has two huge bedrooms with air conditioning, fans, comfortable beds, clean sheets and towels. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with hot water, hairdryer, and one even has a washing machine. Between the bedrooms there is a closed kitchen and an open living area. The kitchen has a fridge, all necessary equipment and dishes. All rooms connect to a big terrace, where we enjoyed spending time. The Wi-Fi was very fast (100 Mbps in my test). Every morning we had a rich and varied Sri Lankan breakfast, with curry and lots of fresh seasonal fruits. Eating on the sunny terrace while watching animals and birds nearby was unforgettable. The location is also convenient. In about 10 minutes walking you reach the main road with a small supermarket, fruit shop, and bus stop. Buses run every 5–10 minutes. Nearby is the entrance to Dalawella Beach, where you can go early in the morning and see sea turtles swimming close to the shore in clear water. Thanks to the architecture and the natural layout, we felt like we had the villa to ourselves and hardly met the guests from the second floor. Everything was very private and quiet. Finally, we want to thank the owner and his team.

That it is too far away from where i live

The property was beautiful, set in lush gardens with an amazing swimming pool. It was clean and spacious. Amazing breakfast and the hosts were super helpful.

This was the most beautiful place we stayed in Sri Lanka. The owner is very kind and helped us arrange tuktuks and a car with driver. The breakfast was delicious and different every day so we got to try many different foods and ate a lot of fresh fruit. It was also a lot of food so we had enough for breakfast and lunch. The location is amazing. You are 5 minutes from the city centre by tuktuk. It is very calm, peaceful and serene, surrounded by forest. We saw a lot of peacocks, squirrels, birds and even some monkeys. The pool is very big (you can easily have a good morning workout by swimming in the pool) and clean and amazing for relaxing. It is shallow on one side and deeper on the other so it is also appropriate for children. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are incredibly clean. The wifi worked the best of all the places we stayed in on the island and this apartment also had the best water pressure in the shower (in the other places that we stayed in the pressure was very bad but here it was good). I definitely recommend this place if you are planning to come to Sri Lankas west cost😀 we will definitely come back!

Everything was amazing

Это лучшая вилла, однозначно! 1. Идеально чистый, огромный бассейн с гидромассажем и подсветкой, вода нехлорирована, можно купаться круглосуточно. 2. Большая, ухоженная территория. Уже писали про павлинов и обезьянок. Все так и это добавляет аутентичности ! 3. Нереально огромные, разнообразные завтраки; было очень приятно и интересно пробовать местные блюда, нам оставалось еще и на обед. 4. Очень приятный хозяин и его семья, которые всегда готовы помочь. 5. Сами комнаты и вилла - все новое; сделано с любовью и заботой, все есть, если чего-то нет- всегда можно попросить. 6. Расположение - идеальное. В пешей доступности до черепашьего пляжа, но при этом в тишине. Поверьте, лучше не жить здесь на 1 или 2 улице. Там очень тесно, каждый метр используется, по вечерам шумно. Я была очень рада, что вечером мы уходили на нашу тихую виллу и в тишине можно было насладиться пением птиц. 7. К нам на виллу пришла черная кошечка и очень «прижилась» там за это время. Она молодая, очень ласковая и очень тяготеет к рукам. Похожа на маленькую пантеру. Пожалуйста, не обижайте ее! Подкармливайте:) ведь кошки привыкают к месту! Я буду очень рада, если последующие гости в своих отзывах напишут пару слов про кошку и поделятся фото. Я назвала ее Китти.

Вилла просто шикарная, удобные, чистые, просторные номера, красивая ванная, все новое, прекрасный бассейн где вам точно захочется провести больше времени, территория по соседству с природой, гуляют павлины, неподалеку обезьянки прыгают. 🙈 Все зелёное красивое, гостеприимный и дружелюбный персонал и хозяева, а какие вкусные завтраки были, нам их хватало и на обед. В целом мы действительно в восторге от этого места и если вернемся на Шри ланку то точно туда ❤️ До центрального пляжа можно доехать на туке за 10 минут (цена небольшая), или дойти пешком до черепашьего и далавелы (15минут) Хозяева все подскажут и помогут с любым вопросом, спасибо огромное 💕

So beautiful, all the facilities were very modern. Very clean and maintained daily. The breakfasts were a highlight - so exciting to try new delicious Sri Lankan food every morning at any time.

During our visit to Sri Lanka, this was undoubtedly the best stay we had. Host Prasanna and his assistant was absolutely brilliant. Location was simply the best with nature's best. Wild peacocks, brigade of monkeys and lots of colorful birds were plenty. it was delight to watch all these early hours of everyday. Breakfast was brilliant, we could select what we needed everyday, papaya, pineapple, bananas, water melons and fabulous mangoes were a every day treat with our breakfast. King coconuts were just picked from the garden. Galle Fort, Unawatuna Beach, Dalawella beach and various other locations are just a TUK TUK drive away. We highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Unawatuna area.
