Pousada Castelo de Estremoz

Fizemos a reserva em cima da hora e, à chegada, já não havia disponibilidade de quarto com cama de casal, conforme solicitado. Ainda assim, a situação foi prontamente considerada e foi disponibilizado um upgrade para uma suíte confortável, equipada com cama de casal king size, que nos deu muito jeito por conta da nossa filha pequena. O serviço foi impecável.

Location, breakfast, comfy bed, nice town

The facilities are a bit dated but probably not unusual for a Pousada, full of history if that is your thing.

The staff were most welcoming, the room was beautiful and most comfortable. Staying in this palace is a magical experience. Excellent restaurant to top it off . Second visit would return and recommend without hesitation.

No coffee/tea maker in room

The Pousada was an interesting hotel, in an interesting location atop a hill town. The breakfast was immense, with so many food options. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was grander in another age, and some of the facilities are dated or showing their age. We found the restaurant pricey for what we ordered, but the dining room had elegant ambiance, even if a bit old.

Set in an ancient castle the hotel fitted its location perfectly. The grounds are well laid out and the parking immediately outside the fortress. Inside the decor is sumptuous and climbing the great tower keep a pleasure not to be missed. The hotel is all round exceptional.
