Treebo Vinayak Inn, 600 Mts From Coimbatore Railway Station

I have been using booking.com for almost 2 decades. I have never faced problems that I faced in this property. Cold reception: When I visit a hotel after a tiring journey, I want a warm welcome from receptionist with a smile. Here was the completely opposite of this expectation. I was greeted by a rude person (manager it seems) who doesn't have simple etiquette of receiving customers with smile. He also gave the impression he doesn't care if I stay there or not. No support: There was no soap for hand wash. I called reception for this. No one turned up with soap. Creaking fan: The fan must be really old with worn out ball bearings because it was continuously making 'charrr charrr' sound. Thin walls: I could hear snoring from the next room. Creaking fan and snoring meant hardly any sleep for me. This clearly reduces the value to zero for this hotel. My stay here was very short as I was just transiting but instead of having a good sleep and feeling relaxed before my onward travel, I had such a terrible experience.

Nothing. They cancelled on me as I was arriving and didnt reply to any of my messages. Shocking customer service. Think prob a Treebo issue more than the actual facility

The complimentary breakfast is great - coupons are given to the old world Geetha Cafe which is a stone's throw away. You get your food on plantain leaves and with a rustic atmosphere - excellent food - and unlimited. The hotel itself is fine - great location. The staff were mostly helpful and pleasant.

There seems to be some strong odour in the entire building - possibly liquor. That can be improved for sure. Possibly, ventilation needs to be taken care of.
