Umah Lusa is a credit to those who envisioned it, created it and work every day to ensure the highest standards of genuine hospitality. The setting is spectacular; an almost heavenly hilltop aspect, seemingly above the clouds and a world away from the tourist crowds. The views over the hills towards the sea, the stunning pool, and the beautiful gardens are just the start. The stand-alone rooms are quietly luxurious, well-appointed and extremely comfortable. The in-house massage was excellent, and the steam room and sauna were a welcome addition. The restaurant setting is sublime at any time of day, and we enjoyed everything we tried from the extensive menu, which offers both local flavours and Western options, all done very well. However, the highlight of our stay was the staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their welcoming smiles and genuine engagement were a sheer delight and will live long in our memories of this stunning property.

For us, this was perfection. The remote, rural location was just what we had hoped for as an idyllic antidote to the hustle and bustle of modern Bali. We relished the peaceful surroundings and simply didn't want to leave, but for those keen to explore beyond the resort, keep in mind that you will need your own car or need to arrange transport. The ever-helpful staff will be able to assist.

El personal es excelente (educadísimos, siempre pendientes de todo) , las habitaciones preciosas (enorme, mobiliario genial, decorada con muchísimo gusto) , el restaurante maravilloso (felicidades al chef!), la zona de la piscina fabulosa (con unas vistas espectaculares y hot tub), una zona en la que cultivan sus propias verduras maravillosa...

Si no tienes tu propio vehículo la zona queda alejada, pero es ideal para desconectar y descansar.

Prachtig kleinschalig resort met een waanzinnig uitzicht! Smaakvol ingerichte accommodaties, het resort heeft een eigen uitgebreide groentetuin. Het personeel is zeer behulpzaam en super vriendelijk. Wij hadden hier een fantastische tijd!

Pure relaxation, quiet, peaceful and beautiful sunsets. Steam and sauna lovely addition - spa was great to massage was well worth it. Cabins very clean and small touches in each are appreciated. Staff are amazing, always smiling Food was delicious

A haven of peace, full of charm, to discover absolutely in the north of Bali, perched in the mountain, 20 minutes above Lovina. If you are looking for a little freshness in a suspended, intimate place, then this place is for you. The owners, a mixed Indo/English couple, have put their heart into it and have managed to unite the whole village, which supports them in this adventure. Moreover, all the staff are local. Most of them are former cruise employees, who returned to the village during the pandemic and never left. They are therefore all already trained in tourism and many of them speak perfect English. Not far from the establishment, they have, on dozens of ares, their own organic vegetable garden.  You can go there and harvest your own vegetables, and during a cooking class cook them, to finally taste the dishes that you have prepared. Each room is a typical Gladak house, in wood, built with a "modern" style, well decorated. The bedding and pillows are a pure invitation to soft and restful nights. If you like to wake up early, then you will have the chance to see beautiful sunrises, and if you are lucky, like we  were, then you will be facing a beautiful show: complete rainbow going from the mountain until the top of one of the Java volcano, over passing the palm trees. The sunsets are also amazing in this area. The food, cooked by a local chef, is quite good. Thanks to all staff for their absolutely professional and their great welcome.

Umah Lusa is a beautiful, boutique hotel perched on the hillside over looking the sea, lush vegetation and the volcanoes of Java in the distance. The attention to detail in designing the 6 stunning suites is outstanding and we were blown away by it all. The reception room, the dining area, the pool and hot tub, the spa and gardens - all were stunningly put together and maintained.
